Whilst working at santander my role was to take inbound and outbound calls to advise customers of missing payments on there credit cards. I was able to enhance my customer serivce skills whilst working here by having to adapt to the range of customers that I dealt with. I gained a professional telephone manner and learned how to quickly and efficiently work my way around a computer whilst listening to the customer and trying to help them. My co workers were very friendly and i got on with them well. The hardest part of the job was the long days as i worked from 8am-9pm. The most enjoyable was the people I worked with as i got along with them very well.

Absolute TERRIBLE place to work! DO NOT EVEN APPLY! They do not care about their employees at all, telling people a month before they are set to take their scheduled vacations that they can't now due to rebranding is a complete joke. Also, sales goals are OUTRAGEOUS, even for tellers, who are judged about 90% by sales and not much else. Very little opportunity for advancement and no raises in years. I myself am working to get myself out of this terrible place as quick as I can. Run the other way!

As the company continues to lose market share, due to poor service/attitude, they continue to add more duties, requirements, and hours!  To the point where it became unsustainable.  Job pays better than most of it's kind for a reason, they totally belittle & abuse the employees.  I wouldn't recommend working there to my worse enemy!

In the past year or of so there has been senior leadership change after senior leadership change. The most recent change caused additional branch managers and other employees to walk away leaving tens of thousands of dollars in incentive pay on the table just so they didn't have to work in this environment. 

The work-life balance is completely gone. More often than not Managers are expected to be at the branch from open to close 6 days a week.

The culture revolves around unattainable goals.  You are good one minute then your job is treatened the next. Lacks a team environment. Subpar technology. Management is concerned only about their jobs and goals.  Employee growth, development and retention is not on their radar.  Consider short-term employment here only.

i really enjoyed working as an intern at Santander. I learned many things such as how to manage my time, use my initiative, communicate etc.i also had the opportunity to put my skills and theory into action. i genuinely learned a lot about the business banking world due to this internship.

Management is terrible! Company is disorganized they don't care about their employees. Make sure you look over your paycheck they will pull a fast one on you.

Santander is a great company who is very clear on what they want to achieve and they always exceed their objectives. Easy company to work for who has clear processes for staff/customers.

I work on the Fraud department. On a typical day I take calls checking with customers if Fraud is present on their account or not. If there is these get marked as Fraud, disputes raised and new cards etc. ordered for the customer.

relaibable friendly and outgoging, like to work as part of a team and my own. i have excellent organisation skills and can cope under pressure
