STIX CATERING

Thinking this was a professional company I did an unpaid trial for a position, when you give a company 6 hours of your time the minimum you would expect is an email or phone call to let you know you didnt get the position and perhaps offer some feedback as to why.
I was asked to do a trial the next day, this request was at 3pm, so thats 15 hours later...
20 years in the industry and in that time no other potential employer has been so unprofessional,  6 hours is a little more then an interview and required me to take time out of my current job at very short notice.

In a such a small industry with a shortage of trades people its a very interesting way to conduct your business. 
So be warned, if you give them half a day of your time dont expect the basic common courtesy of a simple email or phone call back.

I worked as a kitchen hand from monday to friday.
I learned lots of cleaning technique and food management along with dishwashing.
Management is 4/5.
It has a progressive culture and everyone is nice to each other.
As a kitchen hand, closing kitchen will be a hardest part.
Lunch is the most enjoyable part of the job.

Location is good. The work/life balance isn't great but it's ok. Having a family just makes this balance a big priority. Management is a bit unclear about their intentions and there's too much politics going on. The hardest part of the job is to manage untrained cooks that are doing this just as a 9-5 job. Not really chefs.

A work place where Chinese whispers are the norm from the on-site Manager to the entire group heads. Hardly any professionalism demonstrated at the best of times. Too many external parties in my view making stupid decisions.

Interesting to work with so many food and different menu and good motivated team. Very big team with a lots of preparation of food.  can see food from all around the world.

The co workers were very nice to work with.The working environment,seniors and management of the work place was very good.The starting of the job was the difficult part as we have to set up everything.

Free staff lunch everyday of the week (pretty much like a buffet lunch)

A place to work if you wish to learn and grow within. An amazing team with collaborative nature and good mentor-ship. Having said that, most of the issue needs to be addressed on time.

A busy workplace, with friendly culture.  Shift work was required that is normal for baking. The management team were good. Interesting concept of food and production.

very good but could be better and learning to organise section and to control staff. workplace culture is really good very friendly and the management is very fair
