What is the best part of working at the company?
With a lovely group of people, It started off as work experience, and lead to 9 to 5pm

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Remembering all the scout groups, scout group leaders and commissioners

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment, was good, everyone chipped in when cleaning in the kitchen

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
In the morning, I would make everyone tea or coffee, then opened up mail and date stamp it. Answer incoming and outgoing calls, take messages.

The best part of volunteering with Scouts Australia is seeing the smile on everyone's faces when a youth program has run well. You know you have done a good job when they keep coming back. Team work is a big part of the organisation and it works well. Something must be working if it has been going for 107 years in Australia.

this is a fantastic volunteer organisation that works with like minded adults and children. You get to engage in relationships with other people and help them appreciate the world and each other by living with the Scout Law. I truly enjoy what I do and to see a child smile and say thank you I had a great time is extremely rewarding.

Although voluntary, I've learnt the most from SCOUTS AUSTRALIA. Over the years I've been with scouts I've built friendships, learnt how to organise myself, planned trips and agenda, and learnt to be a leader. If it weren't for venturers (scouts), I would not have anywhere as much skill as i do today

I would recommend working there, I always felt apart of the team.
I would learn everyday, taking down notes, researching, the scout groups, asking questions, learn a different task every day.

Scouting is a large piece of my life. I have taken on many different roles and done so much in 13 years!
As a Cub Leader I have worked alongside so many different adults and been an adult leader to hundreds of kids.

A typical day includes, setting up activities, briefing with the team, then running the various activities for the students. After that, you'll pack up the activities, and do a debrief.

I really enjoyed working with the youth and as a team member. I really enjoyed working with the SEDU and SEU children as they are so special people

Going through Scouts from 6 til 18 years old, camping, hiking and learning life skills such as leadership and teamwork. I think these skills among others will help me in your workplace

Time management learning while teaching youth new skills
Most enjoyable working with young people to finish a project.
