In the Petting Zoo I spent my time cleaning up after animals, feeding and providing food for animals, demonstrating proper handling techniques of infant and other farm animals, instructing the public on how to interact with certain animals.
I learned how to be efficient at cleaning and feeding farm animals, how to communicate to the public and be informative on facts regarding the health and wellbeing of the animals and learned a great deal about the way animals are looked after in the rural scene.
The co-workers for the most part very cooperative and informative.
Management over all was poorer than initially expected. I witnessed a few things I wouldn't have done personally as I fear they would compromise the health of the animals.
Hardest part of the job was cleaning up at the end of the day and getting the animals running for exercise. It was also dangerous.
The most enjoyable part was working with the puppies.

honestly such a good experience, would definitely work there again! people i worked with were so friendly and easy to talk to including the team leaders and managers. most enjoyable part was talking with customers and making friends with my employees, hardest part was, of course, dealing with rude customers HOWEVER there was barely any! work environment was great, did get a little hot at time but it wasnt at all bad. something i didnt like was how they gave shifts, but i heard it was because they over hired this year, but i did get a lot of shifts, mostly from open shifts though but was my first job which gave me tons of experience in the workplace, especially in sales!

Packing and sealing bags of fairy floss, sometimes learned how to make fairy floss, packing buckets of fairy floss into boxes, approximately 600 more buckets and 1000 bags in a day.Also I had to make preparation for fairy floss which was carrying 25 kg sugar bag. The work time was between 9 am to 9 pm. one hour break for lunch and dinner.

My friend got me into the job and it was my first time working at the Royal Melbourne show in 2018, it was fun and exciting. I enjoying serving customer and know what they needed. The task was easy for me and enjoyable.

I loved working here, I love meeting new people this was the perfect job for me.
I worked long 12 hour days 7 days a week and was happy to do the long hours.

I had a lot of fun times during my experience. I learnt a lot as it was my first real time working in the so called “real world”. Not only was it a good overall experience, the people you work with are amazing as well.

I really enjoyed working as ticket sales. I enjoyed meeting people and I really enjoyed working witht the staff that I did. Working wotht eh show helped boost my confidence and ability to work at a fast pace.

This week-long job allowed me to work in a place that I enjoy and very much love (around animals) while also boosting my skills in communication and customer service.

Was a very short stint but was not very enjoyable, although adequate for an early job. Decent pay and is at the Royal Melbourne Show so at least it can entertaining outside of work hours.
