Pro: The work itself is enjoyable.
Con: The pay is less than on the mainland.
CON: Some of the HR and management styles are less friendly.
Pro: The facilities are reasonable. 
Con: Flexibility tends to favour the organisation.
Pro: A friendly place to work amongst peers. 
Con: The industrial conditions are such that it is wise to have union membership.
Con: Housing and living affordability are currently an issue.
Pro: It is a great state that offers many tourist like activities. 
Con: Escaping to the mainland can be expensive for a family.
Pro: It has become a destination for many overseas Nurses. This has contributed to a more diverse and interesting set of colleague's  to work with. Tasmania has become more foodie orientated and the food culture is really good.
Con: Not so good Public transport depending on where you live. 

Disappointed that bullying and intimidating behaviour seems to be the norm in this workplace.  If you complain, the victim is made to feel like the problem and being "overly sensitive".

It gives me an insight on how a multidisciplinary laboratory work together, creating an effective working environment. All the laboratory scientist and technician had taught me a lot. I find it hard at first since it is my first time in laboratory. With the help of enthusiastic staff, I picked things up and I find it enjoyable to be able to work in a lab.

Expect to work much .. with no coverage of duties you will be compressed .. but good salary with benefits..will see efiently work more than 40 hrs a week due to work load

Was my introduction to perioperative environment.
Loved the work experience and challenges of rotating to different service.  Stayed 2 years unfortunately moved due to husband relocated for work.

i have loved my time at the RHH i have made many friends, gained more skills and life experiences than ever before. i have always felt supported at my job wherever ive worked across the entire hospital and i hope to have many more years here.

I really like working there. I feel relatively supported and safe. Good job life balance and benefits. Work on different wards so have a different range of skills and experience. Meet many different people from all walks of life.

Work life balance very flexible, supervisors very responsive. I always could rely on coworkers, other staff and supervisors for help and advice. It's tough at times but everything managable.

Brought in as part of a team to assist with completion is always a challenge when the job is running a little behind. But with the right approach it is achievable
