Overall half decent, discounts from 3rd parties are better than their own, retail staff is generally friendly. Forget about any growth opportunities,  people from the Head Office are like some form of gods and everyone else are just replaceable peasants, they make sure to belittle you if you're not one of them and seem to have access to benefits and discounts you would never, kinda feels like we work for two completely different companies.

Overuse of the word premium but the salaries are nowhere near premium, quite sad to see what they stitch for an item compared to what they pay, if you work in Rip Curl you probably can't afford Rip Curl. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The discounts is very good. Love the brand and the product. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Just being casual employee and not getting more shifts

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture is nice during my time my store manager is really easy to work with even my area manager

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working alone in store receiving stocks and making sure its done if you can before finishing.  Making sure to achieve targets

I loved being at rip curl but some management was a bit impolite and inconsiderate when approaching employees due to their own stress but personally I don't think that is an excuse. everybody should be treated fairly regardless of a work title and I don't think someone should be a manager if they are unable to cope with stress without projecting it to the staff or without being polite and considerate.

I loved my time at Rip Curl.
Great staff discount, clothing allowance and staff events.
Tools of the trade are a little out dated and systems unreliable.
Overall workload varies depending on your department and specific team.
It can be difficult to progress your career from entry level positions but a great place to start!
Salaries are quite low compared to most of the industry.

Working at Rip Curl I always felt like I was being well looked after. Its not just a work place, they always have so much to offer to their staff including passes to surfing contests and exclusive events.

I always felt like I was a part of not just a team but a family. Couldn't recommend this work place enough.

working here is really fun, love the vibe. but the management is constantly on your back. it feels like you can’t really breathe when they’re here almost everyday. the store manager + assistant manager is fine, but the higher ups constantly putting pressure on the store is so stressful. i just think they need to take a step back 

working with designers and overseas suppliers to ensure all products are received to designer specifications. Really good workplace culture as they embrace the environment.

A great day at Rip Curl will be everyday.
From the Manager to the casual stuff everyone is friendly and is always willing to help you.
You would have lots of fun and will learn so much at Rippy.

Big teeth hunting you down, warm rubber giving false sense of security, low pay but lots of tail for a young buck. Good times, but poor at the end of the day

Easy job! Team is very nice and easy going. Get to meet people everyday! I was lucky to have a friendly and very human manager that would do what it takes to see staff happy.
