This whole establishment is a sham. I managed one of these depots and I can tell you that thousands of extra containers each day across the containers for change scheme are counted to profit the business and to meet kpi’s that are too aggressive to allow for a decent workplace. Managers would expect admin procedures to be done outside of work hours because managers were also expected to do the manual job all day which was not explained at the interview process. There is also a team environment of bringing in personal containers and over counting them. Some staff have a quite lucrative setup where they collect as a hobby and have a colleague count the containers very advantageously. The pressure to meet numbers was the only concern of management and as long as they turn a blind eye as to how these numbers are being met then they are not liable. This is recycling to do it should be done with a sense of care. 
The container numbers that remondis receive are false too because we were trained to just make the numbers up and not be accurate on how many containers we are counting. 

A typical day at work felt disorganized, with unclear priorities. While I learned to adapt to chaos, there was little valuable skill development. Management often lacked transparency and failed to communicate effectively, making it hard to trust their decisions. The workplace culture was uninviting and competitive rather than collaborative. The hardest part of the job was dealing with constant miscommunication and unrealistic deadlines. Even the most enjoyable part—interacting with colleagues—was often overshadowed by the toxic environment and lack of team support.

I would not recommend working here. As an employee, I experienced multiple instances of unsafe work practices, and equipment was often broken, which made the job even more difficult. 
Upper management and HR are incredibly slow to respond, and there’s zero communication when it comes to new systems being implemented.
 The company is severely understaffed, and no one explains how pay rates work or how we are compensated. HR also takes weeks to process any requests, which is incredibly frustrating. Overall, this company has a lot of issues that need to be addressed.

Doesn’t matter how good your work ethic is and how hard you work they don’t promote internally and overall don’t value their employees

Good work environment, culture is driven by the staff not the higher ups

Focus on customer service and cleaning

A typical day would be processing huge amounts of containers, keeping the cleanliness of the depot. Learned a lot about recycling and some administration work. The hardest part of the job is the working environment, which can be quite hot or cold depending on the season. People working there are friendly and great to work with.

Good people to work with always trying to improve on all aspects so great management. they will give you a fair go if you give it a fair shot. the work is work and you really have to push hard to meet the quotas but the people working there Generally make it more worthwhile A decent pay for a hard days work. an eye on the prize at the end of your days work really pays off in this job.

I worked for return it for 7 years and got treated terribly the hold time. they do not care about the environment they care about money. they ask managers and staff to work unpaid hours and never get anything back at all. under staff every location for more profit and no chance for promotion at all. do not fall for it they want money over your life.  

Okay place to work at. Good pay as they only hire you as a casual employee. Submit your availability every week and get paid weekly. The back of the house might smell a bit. 

Staff and manager were great, they all look after each other. I sorted out bottles in bags and found pretty disgusting stuff needles.etc. It’s not for everyone but if you have a strong stomach, i would recommend.

For a first job it is a great introduction to the work force. Good training and support from all staff. The job provided an insite into various warehouse rolls.
