Toxic positive work environment, lots of gossip, and blatant favouritism from managers. Company try to “care” about your mental health but it’s all surface level as it is a hotel group at the end of the day (money over matter). Staff do get 40% off food and beverages, which is excellent.

Great pay and flexibility but after a while, constant sporadic shifts (especially overnight) negatively affect your health/sleep schedule, which no longer became worth it to me. There was constant nagging from managers to complete regular refreshers outside of work with no pay. I felt like I wasn’t recognised for the work I did yet my mistakes were heavily criticised. 

We were encouraged to be the best at our job and provide exceptional customer service which has undoubtedly helped me in my new careers. This is the type of workplace where talking about your personal life is encouraged otherwise you’re shunned for being “quiet”, or just doing your job and going home. I would recommend working for this company, compared to the other hotel groups, but I would definitely would not stay here long term unless I was looking to become a higher up.

A typical day at work was usually very fast-paced and a lot of thinking on your feet was needed in the gaming area. I have learnt how to correctly talk to colleagues and customers to resolve issues. Most of the employees are young so we all become pretty good friends and the managers have your back when needed. The late nights and weekend work is the hardest part of the job but it suits some peoples lifestyle. Best part about working there is they encourage you to have fun (within reason) and you get to work with friends.

The area mgt team move around too much. No stability when working for this company.

It was alright. Fellow colleagues were good.

Very busy environment mostly at night

great team to work with and not only the team but all bar staff and so on are friendly especially to those new to starting. boss is understanding and not your typical d head and many perks to joining including discounts, free drinks (non alcoholic) and on good days... free food. just think about that. free PUB food

Absolutely loved working there, the staff are absolutely amazing, and it was always a blast coming into work. The community is incredible and all the regulars are a laugh

As a manager you could definitely find better!
Their are some great operators and if your lucky you will have fun until they shuffle and you get a bottom of the barrel operator then it's a nightmare 

Working at Redcape was the low point of my working life. They promise the stars and deliver nothing. Typical days (as a manager) involved being a glorified bartender. Venues are always understaffed, management are unsupportive.

Started here when it was still NLG and during the time I was treated well and given every opportunity to adavnce in my career. Only left due to personal commitments.

Great bunch of people to work with.
Collaborative, Supported, Excellent company culture.
The Office was very cool.
Friday night drinks.
Easy-going environment.

Management is awesome. Great work life balance. Meet new people and a great place to work. Always had something to do from greeting patrons to keeping the room clean.
