I enjoyed working at Red Lea as it made me realise the worth of money and how much hard work it takes to earn money. I also learnt how to interact with people, how to get jobs done quickly and efficiently. My job experience at Red Lea boosted my confidence as I had to regularly interact with new people and presenting myself as confident and lively was a must for the job. If I had a morning shift then a typical day would involve setting the shop which included setting up trays with new chicken in it, frying items for the hot section, stacking drinks in the fridge in empty spaces, continuously cleaning work bench, serving customers and preparing the items less in quantity as the day progressed. If I had an afternoon shift then a typical day would be serving customers, cleaning utensils and food tags at the end of the day, packing up the fresh food items and emptying the hot food items, cleaning the workplace after everything has been cleaned. The management was great, very understandable, as I was a student when I worked there occasionally I needed to change my shift times depending on the school workload and the management was great at easily changing my timings. The co-workers were very friendly and very fun to work with. The most enjoyable part was interacting with new and regular customers everyday I worked, and getting free lunches. However the hardest part of the job was the long hours and the amount of lifting required as part of the job, such as lifting big cartons of chicken and drinks and placing top shelves of freezer or fridge.

Do not care about the staff and how many years and hard work given to this company by the staff who were made redundant....very disappointing
When i first started there employment numbers were very high....over the years it depleted over time. They also changed hands a couple of years ago with debts a n d it followed through to the new owner who had to downsize because of this. Theres not much more that i can say than if it wasnt for the other employees who work /worked there it would have been overly not a great place to work....our bosses did the best they could under the circumstances. So anyone rhinking of getting a job with this company need to look elsewhere as they will probably not hire for a good while now due to the downsizing of the company

a typical day at work would be 8 hours a day we work 11 days on 3 days oof in those 11  days we do 3-4 11 hour days. i learned a fair bit on bird health and houseboundary and how much the birds meant to the company, the management was really good and understanding the co-workers were nice and hard working they would help in anyway they could
the hardest part of my job would have to be on the long days as your the only senior person on so you would have to do everything that had to be done on a daily basis and if something happened you had to try and fix it also.
the most enjoyable part of my day would be the atmosphere with the co-workers when you needed something done they wouldnt hesitate to help you

Working at red lea chickens as a store manager I have many responsibilities such as;

* Rosters
*Banking
*Store Budgets
and many more.
The last year I have managed several shops and in all of them ive had great teams, good team work creates a fun and happy work place.

The reason I am looking for a new job is that the company is franchising and the new franchisees do not require a manager.

Management were amazing, they were always there to lend a helping hand if needed, i have learnt to prioritize work loads due to high volume of calls and orders daily, due to this i have learnt how to manage my time with any task.
Met and worked along side the owner.
Great to see how far they have come and how much they have achieved, which pushed me more to work towards my goals.

the product is go throught the line I pack it in boxes and I label it  I put it on steel pallet and I wrapped it and I put it in elevator and send it down to loading area , I work with different cultures and we had respect towards each other some times we work more hours then we should , but at end of day we were happy that the job was done.

Everyday my shifts would change, sometimes i would work in the morning and sometimes i would work in the afternoon. The workplace was very loud and mostly very tight. The hardest part of the job was having to wake up early in the morning some days. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting new friends at home.

Start out day packing away stock, then you will set up front, filling out paperwork as you go,
once you set up u tidy up , genarally serving customers as your setting up. serve customers throught the day, filling up empty/low stock along the way. always room to gain more shifts, very flexible if your casual.

This was a great job for me it was family orientated till new owners took over and then the production was slowing down then it went into liquidation and closure of the factory

supervision of 30 employees...how to deal with conflict....focusing on health and safety...management focus on safety and efficency..co-workers..multicultural environment...the hardest part dealing with smell...most enjoyment to see production completed with no waste..
