I really enjoyed working here when I first started.  The main thing that kept people at Red was the staff.  Red used to be a fun office to be in, work outings, a yearly lavish awards night, Christmas parties, etc, but all the fun stopped when Snowy purchased Lumo a few years ago and we moved offices.  Now it is very corporate as they want to be a "tier 1" energy retailer, so they can compete with AGL and Origin.  The outings have stopped, the events are not as good.  It's like the fun was sucked out of the company as they climbed to the top of the energy tree.  The bonuses every 6 months are great, but they make it almost impossible for you to be the head of the pack and obtain the highest bonus (it's team and individual KPI based), unless you can influence on a high level and save the company millions of dollars.  They fail to recognise the everyday worker who suggests little tweeks here and there to make EVERYONE'S life easier, not just senior management.  They do not look after their senior staff very well, as new people can start at the company on more money "because the market has dictated it that way". It's a shame really, as it doesn't the same buzz it used to have, which is why a lot of the old staff have left.

It has been a great experience, The people are very kind, cooperative, willing to what I need, I have felt very good in this work.
We offer the complete implemetos and necessary to carry out the activities of the day, are aware of our requirements, train us in the best way to perform to the maximum our position.
Environmental care policy, such as recycling, turning lights off when not in use.
the most enjoyable part of the job is to share with people that make you feel a member of the family, there is always a good attitude, a good gesture, a smile for the people who collaborate in the part of the toilet.
Work is done in conjunction with the different working groups according to the schedule so that the facilities remain gleaming for the comfort of the people who work there and thus result in a pleasant and clean environment every moment since it is the most important in A work environment for everything to flow, feel good energy

Every time when i entered and met my colleagues i forget all my worries and tensions just start having fun with them . They were all so experienced then me but still had a helping nature and always willing to start having chat about a last day .We always had meeting before going on field and its always been so energetic .The hardest part for me was to achieve targets as i was totally new to the energy industry here in Australia .My most enjoyable part of the job was whenever i am with my team feel so energetic and had a lott of fun with them specially on country trips .Red energy had really given me a lot of things specially a courage to face different people on each and every day of my work .

A typical day here would be based on the business needs that week/month. So for instance, if we had a lot of new customers applying online, I would be dealing with creating accounts and contacting the new customer to finalise the details. Other times it may be processing the field sales forms sent in by the field sales team after acquiring new customers this way. I would also be dealing with phone/email enquiries from other departments and working on help required via email from stakeholders.
I most enjoyed the team of people I worked with and the variation in the job.

It is a good place to work for and multicultural fun workspace. There's so much politics happening when it comes to applying for higher position within the company or you can't move to the next level unless you know the management very well, basically you need to suck up to get a higher position. Your hard work never ever gets recognised by the management. Unless, if someone finds out that you're a hard worker and an asset to the company. Never appreciate your work and always letting the others to move to the next level. So there is no growth or appreciations for hard workers.

Time spent on phones is the majority of your day, you will learn a lot about the industry, big on multicultural community, management do not provide accurate information and often refer you to an internal information data base which was inefficient and lacked proper information about processes.

There is a lunch/ social room for everyone to enjoy one another's company or just sit back and watch TV. Throughout my time working for Lumo Energy i have learnt a lot about the product we provide and how it can benefit everyone by saving money. i got along with many of the management team. i've also seen a few of my colleagues grow in the company. Everyone is friendly and as much as the job was competitive... no matter who you ask they were always willing to help.

My day starts with 
•	Ensuring all banking and receipt data is reconciled and entered into the general ledger and billing system on a daily basis
•	Co-ordinating the daily upload of all credit card and direct debit files from billing system
•	Raising Invoice, Credit control, daily cash receipting, allocation and bank reconciliation etc. 
•	Reconciliation of Orion debtors sub-ledgers to the Great Plains debtor GL Control account and all other receipt data 
•	Manage and control Receivable Ledger

Company portrays a supportive environment but underneath it's nothing like that. There is little care for staff or support once classroom training is finished. It seems that TL's are pushed to achieve their own KPI's at the expense of new starters. Training was all over the place. No flexibility with different learning styles you are just expected to follow one dimensional learning. They say that there is not a high turn over of staff but are constantly recruiting - say no more.

You have to really fight for what you want ie: work life balance, yet there is so much flexibility around rostering and they have staff coming in all the time.

The lack of desks and over-crowding makes a good breeding ground for amplified noise and anxiety.

The pay is OK, although you are rewarded with performance bonuses, provided you do the right thing. 

Overall, not a bad place to work, central location.
