What is the best part of working at the company?
If you want to do minimum hours and have time off whenever, this is the place for you. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of internal cohesion and cross collaboration.  It still carry’s the hierarchical structure and doesn’t allow for ideas and innovation to flow up through the levels of management. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture is poor and disconnected. The example of the pushback after the  call for the cessation of work from home is a prime example.  There is no joy in what people do. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Groundhog Day. No room for innovation.

Worked for a Manager who was a micro manager at every life and made life at work for my staff and difficult to enjoy.  This manager managed through fear and strong arm tactics and despite the larger management knowing that there was huge staff turnover and resentment, did nothing.

Happy environment to work with.
Experience in various jobs with the municipality.
Understanding Management.
Being experienced all jobs were very achievable.
Great work lifestyle.
Within the Council there are many opportunities to improve your knowledge with available courses.

Randwick City Council carpentery is a good lifestyle for someone who already has there trade and looking for an easier job, wouldn't recommend for an apprentice though as it can be a bit challenging trying to improve your skills as a Carpenter

Each day i have to write the job list for the day so we can follow the plan,
I have learnt how to work as a team and how to follow all the saftey requirments.
Most enjoyable part of the job is being out and about and keeping the environment clean for our community.

I loved working at RCC. The managers are very easygoing. The crews are good. Work/life balance the best.  I worked in both waste and sports fields. Truely pleasurable environment.

Very outdated styles of management and poor mental health treatment, they talk a big talk on mental health but walk in the other direction. Lots of work place surveillance.

Managers and supervisors lack basic people skills. This is changing the culture and lowering morale. Flu vaccinations and IT equipment loans are some of the employer benefits on offer.

Their were many reasons why I loved working at this organization.
It gave me the opportunity to work in many different areas in areas that I never thought i'd work in because training was always available.

Everyone is nice and really helpful. Learnt a lot there. If become a permanent employee, will have a chance for flexible work arrangements. Occasionally social events too.
