I liked working for Wyndham Ramada as they paid well for the type of work. A typical day as a housekeeper would feel a bit like groundhog day; same thing but a different day. I learnt about dealing with stress when trying to meet impossible deadlines due to poor organisation. The management was all over the place. My co-workers constantly complained about things needed to be done and the management would sometimes listen and carry out the ideas given. The hardest part of the job was meeting the deadlines on long weekends. The most enjoyable parts were the lunch breaks.

As a Security Officer for Ramada Hotels you were responsible for all in-house guest and staff safety and the security of all guest and Hotel property. As well as coordinating/ organisation of functions or VIP requirements within the Hotel. A typical shift was a 12 hour night  shift, 4 days on 4 off. 
Ramada taught me great Communication/ People and Management skills. Customer care along with understanding of the high standards of service a Company/Business requires to maintain it's market edge.

Smokey Joes has a very friendly atmosphere. this busy little cafe gave me alot of exoerience to wokr under pressure and busy circumstances while still giving customers a fantastic experience. the best oart about working at smokey joes was the interaction i had with customers ensuring that their time was nothing less than outstanding.

It was a great place to work at, sometimes you could live over there on the days you worked and then go home on your days off. Really relaxing and felt like a holiday away from home.  Great co-workers, very friendly. It does get quite hectic and busy.

With new management, things have been a bit rocky. There is a lot to be expected without consulting with the housekeepers on the floor. When housekeepers who have been at the resort for years try to help/direct the new management team, they aren't listened to.

poor management. unsatisfactory, no communication. No intermingling of staff, ie: kitchen staff with housekeeping, or groundsmen, maintenance.

staff working for the same goal for team targets that build up our loyalty of work and happy to work towards the best standard. the team is cultural diverse that shows the best of tourism industry, multi-cultural.

Responsibilities :Pastry and bakery products for bakery shop , set up buffet presentations,  quality control,cost control of items and responsible and organized  safety and maintain,cleaning   and  hyglene in kitchen work section

Pretty standard 40 hour week, as a generalist you have a range of duties to fulfill such food and beverage, housekeeping, admin etc. when it was short staffed it got a bit hectic other than that it was a good place to work
