Work environment was very multi culture enjoyed working with backpackers from around the world, for a small country pub the Railway was a very productive busy work place.  The most exiting event that happens once year where the whole town comes together as one in the community and we celebrate the long weekend in MAY where we would cerebrate the "Running of the cutter" which reflected back on the old mining days of the town.Management and team members were great to work with, we all worked as a close family.

day starts at 10am with kitchen set up for preparation and lunch service.
i have learned effective and practical ways to organise kitchen operations
 management is  outdated 
 co workers are very friendly and are quite easy to get along with
 split shifts would be the hardest part of the job.
most enjoyable part of the job is good customer feedback

Barely any hours are given, too many staff, so doesn't let other workers get wanted hours, 2 kitchen staff are slack and expect you do every thing. One girl will talk smack about you and act unprofessional. Bar staff ate lovely, and so are bosses, can be a fun place to work, but some days are agonising .

good work with lots of friendly people and a busy business that is always clean, a typical day consists of loading the truck and sending it off to other shops and getting orders done. i've learned many things while there such as workplace practice, management, communication skills and how to deal with bad customers.

I started working in this job in the kitchen, then progressed to cleaning in rooms, to working behind the bar. Then managed when the owners were away.

Cannot give a full review as I wasn't there for very long due to medical reasons. My overall experience was very good whilst I was there, they were all very lovely to work with.

Railway Hotel provides a fun and enjoyable workplace for employees, allowing them to effectively and efficiently do their job whilst having fun.

I like working at the railway for the short period of time I was there and the experience I gained was useful. The railway is a nice quite pub that I recommend

Head Chef at the time was kind, helpful, supportive & friendly. The management had a lot to be desired for. But I would recommend this hotel as a social outlet.

It's a good place to work  where we can have much upgrade opportunities as well . I have learned a lot of things since i started working in the restaurant.
