What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10 to 12 hr days roster is all different start times

Nice modern comfortable office working with warm & friendly staff and management team. 
I worked on the front desk as full time Receptionist: 
Promptly answering phone calls and email inquiries, directing calls and messages to the appropriate person. 
Meet & greet clients arriving for appointments. 
Organizing incoming and outgoing mail. 
Data entry of client information.

I learnt how to use the BULLHORN computer system database.

When I first started as a Driver Assist I did the school through Railtrain. Once we finished we then were out freelancing. We were not paid at all for this and in turn lost 6 weeks of income because of it. We were told in the beginning that we would be full time with PN within 12 months. Needless to say that never happened. Years of empty promises. Work 12 days then have 1 day off and if you ask for.a day off they treat you like dirt. I wouldn't wish this job on my worst enemy.

Pays Well. 
There are no Sleep Patterns.
Hard on social life.
A great opportunity to work in the rail industry.
Able to work alongside experience workers
They provide the training.
You are constantly learning on the job
Plenty oy variety because of the different runs in the job.

The staff are dedicated to supplying you with appropriate training and finding job placement.
Great attention was given to ensuring all modules where fully understood and completed.
Work well with individuals for their individual requirements.

Working for Railtrain is a good start for entering the rail industry. But the work is only casual and there are very limited benefits besides remuneration.
No leave or sick leave.

Work as required at various locations as casual contractor .
Some locations are not so good .
Normally very good .

Not knowing when the job will end .
Seeing Australia .

I worked for rail train as rail operator for about 6 months and it was really good then not long after I worked my way up a driver assistance I work asa driver assist for another 12 months on coal trains and learning

Great team and culture - like anywhere opportunity to be better. 
Tried to be rail experts based on very old direct experience rather than listen to what customers wanted.

Management very good. Long days between 10 and 12 hours a day. Learned a lot working on rail with very good people who didnt mind training people.
