Phoning stakeholders relating to their content Rail Infrastructure Corporations intranet site and establishing which documents could be removed from intranet site. I would email list of documents pertaining to their division and they would advise which documents should be kept and re-badged for publication into RailCorp intranet site and deletion from old Rail Infrastructure Corporations intranet website.
I learned to work under extreme pressure as task had to be completed within approx 12 months with over 100,000 documents to document on an excel spreadsheet and verified that selected documents require deletion.
The workplace culture was fantastic with office luncheons organised on a monthly basis whereby all staff members including the GM would attend.
The extreme workloads and not having anyone a reference point as this task was never previously performed by the railways before.
I like the staff and the GM he was very friendly and approachable and even now when I see him in my current building in Pitt Street Sydney he always says hello.

Typical day at work is coming to work on time. logging in to your computer.  Look into work emails, calendar for any urgent & important tasked.  Prioritise and continue with the daily usual task of the role.

What I learned is that no two days are the same and each day may have other things to do and learn.

My co-workers are good but as the saying goes, every forest has snakes and I just have to deal with it with good interpersonal relationship a day go by perfectly.

The hardest part of the job is when I do not understand the how's, what's and the when's of a task.

The most enjoyable part is I know what I am doing and completing as required

Had the opportunity to work and study whilst in the organisation and to work with various departments for different projects.
A typical day at work was full of unexpected demands with a dose of staff and customer care management.

Direct strategic procurement responsibility for all centrally sourced and lead Property, Services and construction spend. Including spend diagnostic, stakeholder mapping, development and implementation of innovative procurement strategies and teams, Internal and External stakeholder change management. Activity for all key disciplines including; Property leasing, MRO, Utilities ;( electricity, gas, water), waste, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, painting, construction and subcontracting accounting for $450m of the total RailCorp expenditure.

24 x 7 shift work on rotating roster. Each day presents new challenges and requires initiative to resolve problems in a restricted time frame. The most enjoyable part of the job is to achieve a rail safe day for myself and my customers.Co workers and management are quite adept at team work and are normally a reliable source of information and help.

A typical day at work involved cleaning the station selling tickets and assisting customers with enquiries.

Courses involved iphone 6,fire health and safety training.

I had a good relationship with co-workers and superiors.

The hardest part of the job involved involved dealing with difficult customers and operational issues where a positive outcome was not available.

The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to assist people.

i had a great time working for Rail corp Sadly out of 5 Trainee ships offered to people with disabilities only 2 secured a job. the training part of it was fun as well as the added bonus of free travel but the down side is running late due to your fellow workers stuffing the timetable up

A busy office with great team members and management to work with. Time Management and Change Management are the core requirements for the successful carrier in Sydney Trains. Excellent place to work with a multicultural employees.

Work had variety and good people to work with heading towards the same goal.  The hardest part was the changing governments and the influence this had on the stability of the organisation.
