All of the duties listed below were part of in a typical day. The most challenging part of the day would be to keep track of where the EVM's were located, what stage they were with obtaining signatures to ensure they were completed to meet time constraints with new staff coming on board and staff movements. I really thrived on these responsibilties it kept me busy using my organisational, time management and interpersonal skills to a fullfilling extent.

The Director, Project Implementations and my coworkers were very professional Technical Management, Project Managers, and Business Analysts, who were most enjoyable to work with being happy, positive, and proactive personalities. Everyone to whom I came in contact with performing my duties was respectful, appreciative, cooperative and willing to share any knowledge, skills or information required to perform a task at any time.

Some of the duties performed were:

• Proactively screened and facilitated communications and telephone enquiries for the Director by taking accurate messages, reviewing emails and prioritise actions, follow up on response and requests for the Director’s signature or action and alert him accordingly.
• Perform reception duties as required and provide support and advice to external clients and visitors, booking conference rooms and maintaining synchronisation of the office in a professional and friendly manner.
• Diary management for the Director, respond and act upon a large variety of requests including central information and organisational management contact for the Director’s Business Unit. Respond to requests for Board, Project and Staff meetings. Organise and coordinate business meetings for the Director and his team; coordinate, prepare and/or print meeting agendas, minutes and papers for the Director’s many board and project meetings. Set up and maintain the Director’s Bring up File for future meetings.
• Prepare Establishment Vacancy Management (EVM) documents (for permanent, temporary and contractor staff), including transfers, secondments, engagement of contractors and arranging extensions of contracts. Maintain registers of activities related to the EVM process ensuring all overseeing Director, Financial Director, HR Workforce Director, Executive Director, and General Manager’s signature approvals are obtained for all incoming and outgoing staff movements to finalise processes related to EVM’s, briefs, formal technical and leave application. Maintain relevant staffing information, and Human Resource Workforce recruitment systems.
• Provide assistance in the co-ordination of travel arrangements for the Director and business unit staff.
• Record, process and co-ordinate cab-charges, corporate card reconciliations, stationery purchases and invoices for work area supplies, and equipment.

I loved the variety of responsibilities, and professional contacts in this role and wanted to apply for the position permanently. Total restructure of the department and new government prevented me from staying on, and the previously seconded Executive Support Officer from moving on as well.

I am a hard working person, I am willing to finish task before leaving the workplace. I start from 8.30am-5.00pm. I have learn how to process Higher Duties, Leave applications, Tempopary extions, Overtime, Oncall allowance etc. I approach my work with a professional attitude, apply myself to multiple tasks and work well independently or in a team situation. When up to date with my work, I actively contribute to helping my fellow team members. Our team is very supportive to urgent requests allowing me to re-prioritise my work load if needed; we liaise with our supervisor and staff members to ensure that we provide the best service possible. I accept feedback from my supervisor and fellow team members with a positive attitude.The most enjoyable part of the job is the people, the're really fun and nice people.

Really enjoyed working here, the work had great variety processing between salary and wages employees and provided great challenges and was very stimulating.  We moved from the SAP payroll to Aurion which had much more manual processing including alot more manual calculations regarding tax etc.  The system and work provided alot of challenges which we had to overcome each day and provide correct payroll processing for our clients.
The workplace created great support for flexible work arrangements allowing me to start early and finish early so I had a great work/lifestyle balance.
I love meeting new people and creating great friendships and I left many great bonds behind when I left so I was very sad but it was time to bring my children back to the family in NZ.

They offered a fast paced environment, the reality was 6 min phone calls with only a 30 second break. Management only intensified the environment with phone call screening, and impossible goals, KPI’s and blaming. I wanted to give my customers with reassurance that I was never able to provide.

I was the youngest person in my office which taught me to be more sociable and confident talking with people of all ages.
I enjoyed being apart of the QSS team.
My position was doing data-entry for Queensland police, my role was based on a computer which increased my knowledge with Microsoft programs (excel etc.), SAP and other general computer software.

Great place to work the people were very friendly and supportive. Typical day was processing payroll documents, providing advice on payroll and HR issues to Government Departments.  I was also a supervisor in my team and provided support and training to my co workers.

I enjoyed the flexibility and part time working arrangement.

This is my first job after  moving to Australia, It is definitely a wonderful place to start your career. Great team members & managers, who helped me to cope up with a complete new location. Everyone was very friendly and kind and supported through my learning phase. Being in payroll I am very much enjoying the pressure of meeting the timelines and the cut-offs.

There will be a work life balance . The contract are for very short period . Work culture is very good Good to work . Work life balance . The contract are for very short period and you never know if it will be extended or no. If it’s not extended then your are left in limbo 

It was a great place to work at and had a very friendly atmosphere. Everyone knew what the job was and how to do it and if you needed any help with anything they would always provide it.
