Working in control rooms and outside operation. The job is challenging. As you had to maintain and keep the machinery running to achieve productive. Over the years in the industry i have gained a lot of knowledge working in a team environment how to coordinate maintenance and operator personal to work in a safe environment.
The team i work with in my area are dedicated to work safely and ensure that each other are safe.The hardest part of my job is ensuring that the plant runs effectually and run to parameters, KPI's
Ensure all personal in the area prior to starting there jobs. Report to the operator or to myself before starting each task safely.
When all parameters are made, Made record tonnages, zero harm to all personal.

There is no typical day, each day has its own variety of challenges and issues. I have learnt to be patient and thorough with my work. I find managers come and go and I have learnt different skills from each of them. Every manager has an attribute which I can apply to work life. My co workers are very honest and reliable people who I really enjoy working with, these are the people which make this such a good company. The hardest part of my job is "juggling" all the different work and employees. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing how my decisions can be so important to meeting production and safety targets

The Plant was well advanced in terms of life cycle, it had a very high level of long serving employees which provided the business with an extremely high level of experience and knowledge. The downside however, is that many processes and systems were not documented and utilised so the threat was always going to be the loss of the experience and knowledge.

Building sustainable systems and processes to help cover the eventual loss of experience and knowledge became the most important area for focus.

This company used to be a good company years ago.  It in the last few years has been run down, little maintenance being performed and in my opinion is an accident waiting to happen.  The new management teams that have been brought in are looking to reduce numbers on site and get rid of people in anyway legally possible.  I do not recommend this employer for your long term career needs.

Management were supportive.
The crew i worked with were a great bunch. we all worked together.
Filter table re cloths and dipping the A Frame due to it being a dusty enviorment. Working with people you Respect.

Busy day at coordinating projects
Learnt SAP , Micro soft office, shipping , Oil and caustic movements. Boiler house.
There is a direct flow down from management 
Good people to work with.
Being able to get the equipment to work on.
The challenge of see new things and new ideas that come through working with a large group of people.

Over the years that I have worked here I have learned a great deal about the processes, dealing with others and myself. This has been one of the most enjoyable jobs that I have held and although the work is sometimes hard, the hours sometimes long, the people that you work with everyday make it all worth while.

When I first started juggling, multiple protocols and routines, however, with training, it became easier

Community based, and if you listened, you learned a lot

The starting time is early for a twelve hour day.
Work varies from mundane routine to frantic changes to accommodate management decisions. 
The hardest part of the job is trying to make sense/ discover the reasons for some of those decisions.

Excellent opportunities in early days, excellent training offered and room for advancement but situation has changed substantially due to drop in market trends and has become a difficult place to work.
