Highly competitive and individualist culture pervades every facet of life, much like most universities. Academic and professional staff have different experiences, but all equally distant from the Executive at the front of the train. 

Most packages inc. 17pc Super, unless you're one of the increasing number of casuals. If on the payroll, maintaining a good work-life balance is largely honoured but depends on your role and supervisor. 

The day begins with surveying the work for the day in the house. The works include cleaning, mopping, washing drying and folding clothes, vacumming, and at times cleaning surrounding.
Co-workers are sincere, friendly and easy to get along.
However, travelling longer distance for work is a hinderence

in the mid-autumn festival,QUT students arranged lots of programs to show, including the lion dance, modern dance, at the same time, they offer moon cakes and some other refreshments for free in the playground. it is a memorable remembrance.

Very easy going job. Very casual work. Only work roughly 1 week a year. The workplace culture is very nice. The hardest part of the job is all the lifting and running around but it is manageable as long as you're fit. Looking for work not so casual.

Processes are arduous and very slow. Senior management has poor communication. Progress very slow and team connections are sometimes stressed. Lack of vision and coordination to indigenous Campus to Country strategy

i had a good good role at this job  i learned how to cook i learned how to work in a good workplace i made friends i learned how to work safe i would get friends who need a job to go to qut i had a fun time working there

Working with renewable hydrogen team was a great experience to me. My supervisor and senior colleagues were very supportive and professional who I learned a lot from them.

Working with great colleagues kept me coming back to work every year as I have worked with QUT for the last 22 years.  

Seeing different cultures coming together was another highlight.
