The firm's management behaviours vary widely from its stated values.
A typical day at work involved continual interruptions making it impossible to execute on agreed plans.
Management is chaotic. Everyone is pushing their own barrow and trying to earn "brownie points" with the CEO. Disruption comes primarily from within the firm's IT areas.
Outsourcing has become a sacred mantra regardless of the lack of quality and increased costs that it brings. Staff call these things out at their own peril, despite the firm proclaiming one of its values to be "Openness and Authenticity".
Most partners are miserable but take solace from the huge money they earn.
My co-workers were very hard-working but were exploited by working very long hours of unpaid overtime and having more and more responsibilities piled upon them.
The hardest part of the job was trying to juggle too many disparate roles and projects with insufficient resources
The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to support the practice with excellent client service, particularly the lawyers within  the firm.

As someone who joined a new team, only for the whole team (~300) to be dissolved and a third of them laid off, I can say that I have been through the washing cycle of B2B services. It's not you, it's just business.

It has opened my eyes as to how consulting services work, and it's not a wonder why as to they get so much flack.
The whole time I was on their team with a freshly completed bachelors degree and two certificates in their solution partners, I was underutilised and never given the opportunity to turn my knowledge into experience that could be referenced in potential future projects, even  post-redundancy.

It was fun to say I was getting paid to sleep, but unless you are of the competitive nature (always seeking to network or get multiple certifications) or have preferential treatment, you won't be going anywhere in terms of experience (getting relevant projects) or career. That was two and a half years wasted with my foot in the door, only to job-hunt again for relevant projects.

A typical day at work would involve handling tickets and calls raised by internal employees in IT issues related to software, hardware and other products supoorted by the firm. It also involves ensuring action ing tickets and answering calls within the SLA.
The role allowed me to develop my negotiation, communication and writing skills.
Management ensured that right training is provided as per the new product relase or updates. Various competions, xmas, new year parties along with team get together are being organized.
My co-workers are a amazing bunch of people who are from various diverse culture and were very very helpful.
Hardest part of the role was to effeciently handle clients expectations within the stipulatd time frame.
Most enjoyable part is to hear from the clients "You are Awesome".

Solutions based role, building teams of human resources to perform audit and related review work for external clients. Mapped bookings using the firm's resourcing tool, resolved booking clashes, identified opportunities to utilise staff across team requirements, maintained excellent records, scheduled training developed and maintained excellent relationships with management and beyond.

The vast majority of the people at PwC really do make the place a good work environment.

The hardest part of the role was the sheer volume of work teamed with a lack of clear and attainable goals. Better suited to a full time employee.

The most enjoyable part of the role was communicating with the teams, building relationships, and finding great solutions.

My role as Executive Assistant to three senior partners for the eleven years I was employed was the role of a lifetime and I was extremely fortunate and blessed.  A typical day was to prioritise diary management and the required work load for the day and week ahead.  Client interaction was very important in my role and I was lucky to have built up a great trust with our clients and as a link to the Partners I worked for.  The hardest part of the job was some very long hours and extremely tight deadlines at very short notice.  The most enjoyable part of my job was being involved in a great team, the many varied social events the Company was most gracious in putting on and long standing friendships that I made.

PwC has a lot of serious issues in culture and bullying. They hide themselves behind the brand, however it is a game of getting dirt on whoever they can to stop any promotions on talented people. 

The organisation is rife with a british mafia syndicate in the leadership and they are very cunning and manipulative, but will ruthlessly disregard anyone at any opportunity.

They leverage extreme political correctness, so it is expected you will be a robot, who can spruke extreme progressive views, but will turn them onto you at any given opportunity. 

There is reason why they advertise all the time for jobs, (due to burning out anyone with drive and initiative). This place is not one if you want to maintain your self worth, dignity and respect.

PwC is in general a great place to work. The work can be interesting and rewarding even exciting sometimes. It is however not for everyone and not every business unit is created equal. Work life balance is terrible particularly in consulting but that is consulting in general. I believe that they are genuine about doing something about it but is the industry. They are generally pretty good at letting you work around life's necessities.

As a resource for different projects those you work with up and down the chain can be difficult to work with.

If you have kids it can be difficult with the travel and long hours.

As a graduate it is a career golden ticket as an experienced hire the conservative culture can be difficult.

2.Coffee catch-ups with colleagues on my down time

Overall a great place to start your career. It is awesome starting with a cohort of young grads going through the same thing together. The learning and development opportunities are wonderful. There is also the freedom of travel as they have offices around the world. Having the PwC name on your resume is highly highly valued when you decide it's time to move on.

The cons would be the complete lack of work life balance. This job can consume your life. The hours are insane and when you're juggling numerous jobs and close to breakdown it is hard to find adequate support because everyone else is in the same boat.
