It is a good job to take up if you are doing university however since the shift are shorter when working within the mental health department it can be inconvenient. The higher ups seem very nice in the beginning but they can be quite nasty if on their bad side. I have found that they tend to lie to clients, pushing the blame on the support workers if any problems arise. Not only have I experienced this but many workers that are in this field has also found this to be the norm. Despite the nasty higher ups (only encountered one higher up that is very authentic and wants to help the support workers) it can be good on the resume.   

It's a quick process to get started with clients once they hire you. 
The administration team can be good but as they are busy, not much support is given if you run into a problem whilst out in the field. 
This job is not for the faint hearted because of minimal support. 
There is no advancement and they keep you casual, no matter how many years you've been there.

I came to Primacy Care from another direct support provider. I was shocked to know how underpaid I was at my previous organisation. Primacy Care stated that they pay above the award wage minimum to the benefit of their employees. In addition to this in the short time in which I have been working with Primacy Care Australia, I have come to find them the easiest provider to work for. The systems they have in place allow me to complete my job to the best of my ability and allow me to focus on my support work. 

Primacy Care is a highly productive yet relaxed work place. As an organisation that has grown so much in such a short time, its important to stay efficient and driven, but one thing that is never lost in the process, is a great corporate culture. The management look to foster independence and empower employees to do their best, while my colleagues all offer a great sense of comradery and teamwork. 

Please avoid if you don’t live in the South East. Since it is a casual type of work , they don’t really care about how much work you have. They will hire more workers and replace you in a heart beat if you can’t travel those long distances for which they are paying you nothing!! They should take time to gather more work opportunities before hiring multiple workers. There is no job security and they don’t care a zilch about the well being of casual support workers. 

I was hired with no knowledge or experience within the sector. Their is no training for staff. When I resigned their was no contact from Primacy Care.. Staff are just a number. Toxic environment. Oh and management will say I was not employed by them lol.  If you speak up & defend your clients your shifts will be cut back. You are known as a trouble maker and your pay, they will ALWAYS get wrong. 

Primacy Care offers a highly supportive person-centred approach with all their employees which is effectively shown throughout the way the organisation has grown in such a short period of time. Primacy Care offers great progression through the organisation and is a great first step into the Mental Health Field!

Primacy  Care is a good  place  to  work in that you get an effective  insight  into  many aspects  of  community  service. 

The range of  clients can be challenging,  but there is a lot  of  favourable  outcomes. 

Love working for Primacy Care Australia. They are a fantastic team of service delivery coordinators and team are there to support.

Interview process was smooth and professional. There was no training for SW who is new to the field. There was only a 1 hour induction. No follow-ups from supervisor to see how's the SW doing.
