A typical day at work included, opening up the shop and pulling out all the shelves and setting up the shop! Making sure things look tidy for customers. Count the float before you start, check with the manager everything is fine and start working on the registers! If your not on the registers and your doing customer service you always have to make sure the customers requirements and needs are met, always helping them with what their looking for and the best part is giving them advice for the best product to suit them. If there's no customers you have to walk around the shop to face and fill the shelves and also check the stock room to make sure all the stock has been filled on the shelves. I learned that you have to really know what your selling that way you can help out the customers as much as possible and they trust you then keep coming back. If your a loud and outgoing person and your customer is more quiet and shy its good to adjust your personality to theirs so it doesn't scare them off or in other cases bore them. The management is about making sure everyone is doing their part and contributing as a team. The manager is also the one who deals with refunds, complaints and teaching the juniors what they should be doing. Co- workers helped me a lot when I was new, they let me know where everything was, what to do if something went wrong and they helped me when I wasn't sure about something. They were all very approachable and and made the workplace a much more fun environment to be in for me and the customers. The hardest part of the job would be when there is a rush of people who come in and every co- worker and manager is busy with other customers, you're the only one at the registers and have scan everyone's items in a reasonable amount of time without making a mistake with the payment because that could really set your whole day off and make the float unbalanced or even result of giving someone the wrong change or items. When its busy that's the best part of the job even though it can be stressful, there is something about being busy and fast paced that I enjoy! The feeling of being the one people come to when there is a problem or a inquiry is a great feeling, it feels even better when you help them find what they were looking for and the customer trusts you as a professional. I loved this job because I got to interact with so many different people, I learnt so many things, and I was able to be myself and it made me want to keep going back.

As the Priceline Cosmetian I was incharge of the daily running of the cosmetic and skincare department. I would make sure all shelves were replenished with products facing the customer, New lines were on display and all planograms were up to date. My isle was always keep clean and up to OHS standards. On arrival of new stock i would check stock off to invoice then set up any new displays or promotional material that was sent. I would dispatch any extra stock sent by mistake or damaged stock back to suppliers. I would participating in any product training on a regular bassis and learnt as much as i could to assist my customers in right product for their skin but also to be able to train other staff members in the benifits of the products. These training coarses would range from 1 day coarse up to 3 day coarses that I would have to travel to in my own verchile and find my own accomadation most of the time. Learning as much as i could about each cosmetic and skincare house gave me great knowledge in this area and i loved sharing my knowledge with my customers.
My most enjoyable moment that stays with me was the day i helped a customer who had just lost everything in a house fire. She was depressed and needed to feel pretty so i gave her some beauty tips ond sold her some great products that were not expensive but would suit her. After walking her to the register she gave me a huge hug and thanked me for all my help with tears in her eyes said I had made her feel so much better and gave her a new out look and that her life was about to change. She then became a regular customer that was eager to learn more and experience new products. This position was a enjoyable and satisfying position that I really loved each day good or bad.

I just got fired because I apparently was not progressing enough only because I had to ask a few times how to do something in an area of the store I wasn’t very familiar with yet. I was fired with literally no warning during a ‘work review’, without a concrete excuse just a bunch of petty reasons that were honest mistakes despite never receiving any actual complaints when I was making them. I think they just hired me because they couldn’t find anyone else with more experience at the time and got rid of me as soon as my three month prohibition was up. It was honestly cruel and I’m very shocked, I didn’t expect being treated like that but I guess some people are just like that and will pretend to care just to get something out of you. Anyone else reading this please beware of employers doing this! Its not ok!
Also some of the pharmacists were quite cold and condescending and made me feel uncomfortable and judged. The environment definitely felt a bit artificial when it came to staff interactions. 
I thought I was doing a good job, I enjoyed my interactions with the customers alot and a majority of them were very kind, some of the staff members were easy to get along with and positive to be around but in general I felt very unappreciated by the company (other than those few nice staff members)
I just never really felt like they were enthusiastic about me being there other than at the start and only felt that the retail supervisors went out of their way to make me feel supported 

A typical day of work means using my time efficiently to get as much work done as possible while maintaining the correct conduction of the task and making sure it is done properly. It also means the customer comes first. Doing regular rounds of the store to see if customers need a helping hand finding something or understanding a product. If my shift includes register duties, I keep to the front of the store, monitoring to make sure theft is under control as well as acting as a door greeter. When dealing with a customer either purchasing a product or returning one, the utmost respect is always shown with a smile and friendly chatter. Calling my manager if any issues occur. Being on registers also means it is my responsibility to maintain the entry and the front of the store, keeping it clean and re-stoking the front isles. I have learned all this and more in this position with the help of my co-workers, supervisors and managers. All staff are friendly and respectful towards each other. The hardest part of my work would be memorizing each product, their pro's, con's and deliberating which product would be the best for a customer's need. However, working with the staff who are always friendly and happy is the most greatest part of my work and makes every shift enjoyable

There is 3 words that describe a typical day at work, fun, hardworking and busy. Throughout my entire day I would be constantly be helping customers, walking around the store asking customers if they need a hand and to come and grab me if they have a question. Other than helping customers, when the store is quiet I would be checking the list of things to do around the store, and firstly asking the pharmacist working at the time if there was any task that needed to be done that day? Most days when I am working there I usually learn one or two new things I hadn't known to do before. For example, I learnt recently how to make the big promotion tickets! The management of store is great and we maintain the store in great shape. The hardest part of the job would be...probably nothing. I enjoy working at Priceline, I've formed great friendships with my customers and have many regulars coming into to ask for more advice. I think the most enjoyable part of the job would be succeeding in helping a customer. When a customer leaves the store, knowing that they have left with a smile on their face and a fulfilling experience is the best feeling I could every ask for.

A typical day at work included communicating with colleagues, dispensing scripts correctly and promptly and counselling patients starting new medications or who have experienced side effects and want clarification if medication related. Delivering medications to certain patients homes after work finished if they had difficulty with transportation.
Learned to adapt to work with colleagues in a streamline fashion that allows efficient dispensing to take place. Listen to suggestions from colleagues.
Management; co-ordinate with staff at the front line so that the pharmacist only attended to those customers who needed more detailed information. Roster staff so that a good compliment of skills were present to attend promptly to customer needs.
Friendly and caring workplace culture and efficient work performance so that KPI's were met.
The hardest part of the job was when multiple phone calls are being received while servicing customers and having to contact doctors to clarify scripts etc...
The most enjoyable part of the job is the many thanks received from customers.

Working as a retail assistant is a job that I enjoy the most, I love working and helping customers on a day to day basis. A typical day at work would be helping customers that need assistant or just having a casual conversation with them at the registers, seeing a smile on there faces when leaving would be a highlight as then I know I've done all I can to help. You learn different things every day working in retail such as: how to deal with difficult customers, stocking new products on shelves, meeting the stores KPI and also learning things of other workers. Management would be the most important in retail especially time management - trying to get your allocated work done on time while assisting and helping out customers and employers. Working as a team makes things so much easier working in retail as you get more things done and on time and also learning new things of them. The hardest part of retail would be dealing with difficult customers, but with a great solution would be a great outcome. The most enjoyable part of working in retail would seeing customers smile when leaving the store then you know you've done a good job in helping them.

I regret working for Priceline. The management is AWFUL, they do not care about their employees one bit. They were so strict, I wasn’t allowed to talk to other employees in the store. I wasn’t allowed to go out of my designated aisle. And they would watch us on the cameras, so you couldn’t even try. So I would spend all day, every day, in my 1 aisle, without talking to any other staff. It was miserable. The training was also pretty slack, as this was my first pharmacy job I expected some training within the store, but they left me to my own devices. And just like a lot of other staff, working for Priceline made my depression and anxiety go through the roof. I’m happy I don’t work there now, but if I could go back in time, I would’ve never applied there. I wasted too many months of my life being sad and miserable, and they were months I will never get back. As for pros and cons, I can’t even say the staff discount is a pro, because it’s so low that you’re always better off buying something that’s on sale and paying the same price as the customer.

- receiving scripts to pass onto the pharmacist (regarding brands) and translating any notes or comments regarding medication.
- always keeping an eye on the front counter, and never leaving it vacant, always being cautious of the floor and aware of surroundings.
- greeting every customer upon entry and acknowledging their needs and if they need any assistance.
- final pack up and cleanup of front till, dispensary, wiping benches and taking out bins. 
- leaving the shop in how it was found and allowing the next employee to experience the same equal clean organised space.
- the most challenging part of the job was probably weekend shifts at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon when I was multitasking the front till and the dispensary and had to manage the whole shop in a safe orderly fashion.
