A typical day at work entailed (for me personally) arriving between 4-5pm and finishing at 9-12 (sometimes even later depending on the turnover).

* Preparing a variety of food and drinks for takeaway and the dine-in section

* Replenishing the pizza + pasta and salad bars in the dine-in area

* Serving Customers

* Customer follow-ups in the dine-in section and cleaning tables etc

* General dish washing requirements BOH

* Anything else that needed to be done

I learned to work effectively as part of a team and interact with customers much more efficiently. I learned to take responsibility for my role in the team and show initiative to do my part as best as possible. Many of my co-workers were from the same school so that was a treat, we had no problems working together. The other staff members were all really friendly people for the most part and were extremely helpful when I first started. One manager in particular was one of the nicest people I have ever met, nothing like I thought any manager would ever be like.

The hardest part of the job was definitely when we were under-staffed during the Christmas holiday period and at other peak times. However, this simply lead to me being forced to deal with the situation and design strategies to combat this. In turn, my time management skills and work ethic increased huge amounts.

The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing satisfied customers who appreciated there time spent there. That, and the shenanigans with the other staff members.

a few years back i worked at pizza hut for about 6 months. looking back, its disgusting to see how badly i was treated. I was 15 at the time, paid $7 an hour when the award min is $8.56
I originally was told i would be getting 3 3-5 hour shifts a week, and even after leaving weekly notices on the board asking for more shifts, as far as writing a letter to the manager, i would be given one, 3 hour, thursday/friday night time shift where i would be left to work entirely alone. staff would sit in the staff room watching movies, chatting and would occasionally come out to speak to me, usually to tell me that i was doing something wrong. i think there was one worker that was actually properly nice to me, the rest either spoke badly in front of me, or spoke badly of me behind my back. i remember id frequently leave work in tears either because my request for shifts was yet again ignored or because one of the girls would tell me i did something wrong and proceed to laugh about me to each other. awful experience that has almost completely put me off fast food work. never again would i work at a pizza hut, just for the fact that i would not want to support a company that still does this or has ever done this to their younger staff members. i was told i was allowed a free pizza at the end of each shift, which to me at the time was okay. a few months into working, the manager that consistently would pick on me for making mistakes but would refuse to help me to what i was doing wrong right, starting charging me for pizza and when i refused, threatened to take it from my $21 a week pay. i ended up leaving not long after this because there really wasnt a point in working there anymore and found work elsewhere.

I've never worked in the hospitality/fast food service before so this was a brand new experience, but I was very keen from the get go. The job requires me to deliver pizzas as well as help out around in the kitchen either cutting pizzas, rolling dough for thins, oiling pans, washing dishes, taking orders either in person or over the phone etc. I've learned during this time how to operate the Point of sale machine, as well as the application to deliver correct order to correct address. I've been enjoying working at Pizza Hut, as it's gotten me out of my comfort zone and having a collaborative, energetic and supportive team to work with has also helped the process of learning and working. The part of the job that was kind of difficult for me is that there really wasn't any formal training, I was kind of just thrown into the deep end and taught the 'gist' of things and kind of had to assume how the rest was done, which is fine because most of it is common sense, it's just when it comes to operating the Point of sale machine or taking an order I usually have to ask how certain things are done. The most enjoyable part of this job is that it's pretty straight forward, help around the kitchen in downtime, get called out for a delivery, check order(s), assign order(s), deliver order(s), come back to restaurant rinse and repeat. The team I work with is diverse and everyone is very nice and easy to work and get along with, which helps enjoy the job even more. Overall an enjoyable job if you're looking to make some easy money, and learn how to work within the fast food service sector.

A typical day at work for me involves getting all tasks required completed before end of shift and adhering to all time lines. Continuously making sure all customers are satisfied and orders are given out at the best standard. Keeping myself busy on not so busy nights, whether its cleaning or preparation of foods, or even ssking manger on shift if there is anything i can do to make there shift that little bit easier. 
I have learnt a number of things from both Pizza Hut and KFC (previous job) whether its how to prep foods how to serve and greet customers how to clean to certain standards etc have all been skills I've picked up. 

Workplace culture I think is important as it makes staff want to come to work and them knowing nothing unsafe within with culture will happen. I am fortunate enough to have several school friends work at Pizza Hut with me so the positive culture was pre existing basically. 

The most enjoyable part of my job is working with the people I work with, I love every single team member and how we always help each other out and never let anyone down. Just knowing I can rely and know they'll do a good job at what I ask of them if ever i need a hand at something is just such a good feeling to have.
I also enjoy training people, as they've always been good to me and helps me build friendship with them easy which I love.

A typical day at work is about 2 hours long. I would show up and restock the fringe and anything else which needed restocking, then the customers would start arriving. I would take their orders, cut their pizzas, box their sides and then give them their order. I would also take phone orders

Sometimes Pizza Hut is understaffed so it can be a bit stressful doing all of the above when there are lots of customers, but often if it is a quiet night and there is not much to do I would spend my time cleaning. It is not always understaffed on busy nights, but often it is not expected, unless some sort of sporting event is on that night.

The typical time slots for working as a junior employee begin at 5:00, 5:30 or 6:00 and go for two hours. Some juniors focus more on customer service (me) and others focus more on doing the dishes and making pizzas. 

The best part about the job is that the manager is very flexible so your hours can work around your schoolwork. The worst part is that most people only get 2-6 hours a week, and that as junior employees get older they start getting less work. They never told me I was no longer an employee, they just stopped giving me work and will not reply to my text messages. This also happened to a fellow employee who was also 17.

A typical day from what I can remember was answering phones, taking orders, doing food prep, making small foods, cleaning and putting away stock. 

I learned how to answer the phone in the correct manor and how to take a food order. I learned to handle money and I learned about customer service. 

Management was the reason I left Pizza Hut, my first manager was great, treated me well and gave me decent hours but when the new manager came in, she made it very clear that she didn't want me working there. Giving me 2 hours a week to survive on and telling my co-workers that she didn't want me there. So I found a new job and quit Pizza Hut, best decision I ever made. 

My co-workers were amazing and made working there bearable. I actually had to work really hard at Pizza Hut and the money was definitely not worth it. I made some really good friends there.

The hardest part was remembering everything that needed to be done, remembering a customers order and how to make small foods. Also getting along with a boss who hates you was pretty hard. 

The most enjoyable part was the people I worked with and also the free food when an order was messed up, and the discount on pizza was not bad either!

Working at Pizza Hut allowed me to work my job and uni around each other and it fit perfectly. The flexibility given when needing to choose shifts as well the support when questions arose was top quality. A standard day at work entails me turning up at the start of my typically 3 hour shift. I would then proceed to run back and forth from the store taking one or two deliveries at a time. At each delivery location I would have to be the front runner for the brand providing excellent customer service as well handling cash in some cases. 

The management was quite smooth and there was always a sense of calm even when things started to get out of hand in rush hours. There was a sense of family almost, within the store, everyone was got on with each other and it was just pleasant to work there. At times there would be instances where I would get some difficult customer trying to pick apart how I do things and tell how to do my job. That had to be taken in my stride. At the end of the day though, the pay, work-life balance and overall management made working at Pizza Hut more than survivable.

I worked at Pizza Hut In Town for approximately 4 months and during that period I required to serve on tables and behind the counter. I would seat customers  as they came into the store. I would make sure customers had their beverages and were happy with the seating.

I was also required to answer phones, wait on tables, bring out food, clear tables, washing up and cashiering.

During my time at Pizza hut I learnt about communicating with other team members and Management  to achieve a very high level of Customer Service.

I was in year 10 at Ogilvie High School  at the time of my employment and I  worked after school and weekends. 

I found the most enjoyable part of working for Pizza hut was the people that I met every day, as I am a people person and I enjoy meeting new people. 

I also felt a fantastic sense of achievement working in a team environment, knowing that myself and other teams member were responsible for providing  excellent customer service and that the customer went away satisfied with our service.

-Prior preparation of dough for the afternoon and evening, then phone calls, walk-in orders as well as preparation and cooking, then delivering if required, completed with total clean up for hygienic control ready for the following days start-up.
-By taking orders right as well as setting the complete order up correctly also, kept the customers happy, which is the main provider of any business.
-Simple to be part of as well as to assist any others with curiosity or just general assistance.
-Car usage, as well as business registration and upgraded vehicle insurance, were difficult at the start but were a need, not a want, for the sake of legality and safety.
-The creation of your own style pizza, which is even better when credited before known that it was your own idea.

filling up the fridge, wiping down the benches and the tables, pre making the boxes for the wings and other things, checking the date of the products making sure they was still in date, mopping and sweeping the floor, washing up all the dishes, wiping down the trays, cutting the pizzas straight out of the oven, serving people who come into the shop and taking phone orders, getting things from the freezer e.g chicken bites
