Where do I start? First few weeks are great, you learn about the dough, how to make the starters & when you build enough confidence then you learn mains. After being there for a few months however, it goes downhill. The hours can be long e.g 10-9, the pay isn't the best & you don't earn tips whilst being a trainee. They sign you off when they feel you're ready to run a busy shift by yourself which could take months if not years! Hours are definitely not guaranteed the same each week, you could be doing 25 hours one week then 15 the next. You don't have a set pattern schedule. This makes life somewhat easier if you have children! The hardest part of the job must've been dealing with the people you work with in the kitchen. There was basically kids (18-20) in the kitchen who I worked with who just wanted to mess around more than actually make perfect food. 

If you're young and need a part time job, then this'll suit you. If you have a family or after full time work, then look elsewhere! I could'nt last a whole year here!

Zero workig hours , monthly salary and lack of stabilisation . Expectation for cleaner position like For testing NASA  air ships , Neptism and company in Hands of Family relationships like uncle ,auntie and Management Brotherhood on normal Basis , lack of posibilities of progress because background from Royal USA in Promotion Ladder very important . Lady responsible for recruitment without experience and trying gain a knowledge by reading questions from Book Managemnet for Dummies trough Interview. Expectation to work in many restaurant in the Ednburgh with zero notice regard transfer on daily base . Treatment like Mobile Cloth on Daily Bases

as a waitress we were often understaffed which meant i could work some of the busiest shifts by myself or one other waiter. breaks are not paid, never got sick pay and they change shifts last minute. customers could be rude but that’s not the companies fault. pay was based on age which i personally didn’t think was fair. 
there were some positives, i met some great people there and everyone was very friendly which could make work quite fun. also hours are usually flexible so you can choose which days to work (but whether management actually listen to this is another story)

The training was good and superiors were nice. Some of the coworkers were clearly hired out of desperation though. Some days it got busy but never too much. You make your way up to having more tables, and by the time my employment ended, I was easily looking after a third or more of the tables. Obviously, there were some shifts where I had a lot of tables and it got busy in which I was rushing around and had a few impatient customers, but I always dealt with it all fine in the end.

Nice place to work overall. You have access to training but everything is digitalized and you find yourself with lots of training materials that PE made them in years, you have to learn in days of weeks. Good access to information but expectations are huge. 
Also, there is poor to no support in learning new departments of the business

Not too bad but they did not paid me for 2 months straight and I had to ask them everyday for my pay which they found annoying and they terminated my job without any notice and reason, which was something like I went there for my shift but that manager there, she sent me home and didnt even asked her why because I wasnt happy there

Working at pizza express had its pros and cons but overall its a good experience. It increased my ability of hard working under stress for long hours . it also helped me to know how much i can handle at work. I have learned a lot from everyone there.

No one spoke or made me feel welcome no training given was left on shop floor by myself staff ignored me made me feel worthless had to use my own money for a cash float and purchase a bottle opener

Skills - Gained Kitchen Experience. Learnt How To Shape Dough, Create topping patterns and lay sauce. All Alone work, But in a chain of colleagues. Needed to be at my best, 100% of the time.

Very professional company. Fast paced working which helped me learn quicker and work more productively. Whilst working there I was able to work up to a team leader and train junior staff.
