As Sales person working for US Co sales forecasting has to be accurate due to Nasdaq reporting, hence can be stressful at each quarter end!

In general colleges are pleasant, I still meet colleges socially. One or two HR staff are not business fashion plus no real idea.

High level managers ok, mid-level struggling to make it to the next level.

Workplace Culture; 'head-down bottom-up'

Annual functions, lunch-time sporting events, plus sales achiever trip great.

A typical day involved cash flow management, treasury, meetings, credit reports, analysis, and credit appraisals. Managing defaulters and lifting staff moral.
I was a major part of the management.
Co workers were loyal and long serving and became friends.
Hardest part of the job was USA tight reporting.
Most enjoyable part of the job was challenges, and career growth.

Selling analogue mailing equipment in a digital market place was always going to be a huge challenge. PB have found it difficult to hold good staff in this division due to the emergence and dominance of email over traditional mail.

Although there are still business utilising traditional mail marketing, individual business are steering away from the financial commitment and using dedicated mail houses.

A typical day involved pick up and delivery of mail. I learned how to handle mail and deal with people.The management and co-workers were always friendly and ready to help. The hardest part of the job was being on call and not knowing when I'd be called. The most enjoyable part of the job was travelling to new places.
