Pets Paradise

-a typical day at work involved stocking shelves, working with customers, cleaning shop, cleaning animal cages and feeding the animals
-i learnt how to use a till and work efficiently and effectively with others. i learnt how to deal with customer complaints and needs.
-i enjoyed working with my co workers it was a very easy going job at times but also involved a lot of pressure, my co workers helped me and i helped them when it was needed.
-the hardest part of the job would of been doing inventory, allthough by the end of my work there i could do it very quickly and without any trouble.
-the most enjoyable part of working at pets paradise would of had to of been working with the customers and finding them the perfect pet or product.

day started at 8am, open store, clean out all the animal pens, feed animals, feed birds and fish, clean and vaccum store, open up pos system. open store.
l learnt about animal husbandry, cash flow, banking, wages, to train new staff, prepare rosters, also more importantly customer service.
l had wonderful friendship with the other staff members, we still see each other till this very day. the hardest part of my job was when l left leaving my friends behind. l enjoyed looking after the animals and the customer service.

a typical day at work is fun I got to communicate with people and take care of pets. I learned how to stocktake and I gained more confidence my co-workers where helpful and always had be doing stuff around the shop. I don't think any part of the job was that hard its was all quite easy and I enjoyed every part of the experience

i regret my time here as i don't support selling puppies and kitten in pet shops especially those that came from puppy farms or dodgy backyard breeders. The store itself doesn't exist anymore. I liked helping customers with their enquiries but there was definitely pressure to sell animals even if families weren't suitable.

I would pick and pack pet products for shipment all around Australia. This included using a forklift or cherry picker when required. The owner and co-workers were all friendly and easy to get along with. There wasn't really a hard part of the job, everything was easy to do and very enjoyable

Working here has really taught me a lot, I've learnt so much about animals and how to handle them in such a short amount of time, being able to care for animals and knowing they were safe in the hands of our team was fantastic.

I would never work for a similar company again or a company with the same owner. The store I originally worked in was closed down due to the rent not being paid then we were moved into another store which he put in someone else's name.. dodgy!

the work place would of been a bit more of a great place if they got proper animal checks done as a couple of puppies have died from being in their care once they started getting the proper loving and care they deserve

I enjoyed working there for work experience,I loved working with all the animals ,the staff members we're lovely to work with , the manager helped me out when I needed help

even though this was work experience I very much enjoyed it loved working with the crew as a team there was nothing hard about working at the job as I love working with animals
