Perth Royal Show

The training they give you isn’t that much so on you’re first day you kind of just have to learn where everything  is, but everyone helps each other out so you’re not alone in that. It can be overwhelming very fast, especially on the first day of the show (the crowds do get less and less as the days go on but it also depends on weather conditions) it’s a tight space where you have to work together by asking where a particular showbag is and so on. Management is really nice and approachable and they’ll help you find a solution to any problems you may face. Pay is really good especially if you work on a public holiday and on a Sunday. 

Selling show bags at the royal show was really enjoyable, but also quite difficult. Usually around midday there was an overflow of customers so being able to work in a team with the other workers and being organised was something I learnt very fast.

The best part of the job was seeing all the smiles from the kids when you gave them the show bag they really wanted and one of the hardest parts was dealing with the massive crowds.

The days were a lot of fun. I was doing volunteer work for the girl guides so once the shift was up I got to hang around the royal show for free. I got a real buzz knowing that I was helping out the Girl guides and it was heaps of fun. Some days I got to work with animals while others with children. I never got bored and the team was lovely. 

The company was run very well with a great group of people to work with every year. My favourite part of the job was the work atmosphere- working in the heart of the royal show with show tunes playing and the smell of fairy floss in the air, watching the fireworks go off each night was magical.

All crew members were friendly and great to work with. Managers were lovely. As a first job, it was a great learning experience and if given the opportunity, I would gladly work there again.

I loved working at Perth Royal Show Showbags. All the managers were nice, the work could be difficult at times but overall rewarding and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend and would love to do it again.

It is very faced paced and no time to sit around. The managers are always checking to see if you are okay and they encourage you to work at high speeds by making mini competitions with the other sheds.

Amazing opportunity and each workday are enjoyable. Great team of people, and loved interacting with the workers and customers. The hardest part is the working hours.

Working for this company i found i need to work at a fast pace in a team and in a very small area. early mornings, late nights but worth it . I learnt every person is unique and i must cater to the differences.

I will always put my name down for work at the show and I like that I am always on the go from the time I start to the time I finish I also like the idea of being busy
