I have been with Penny Miller for about 15 months now and I have completely enjoyed being a part of the local Penny Miller team
Yes you do get down heartened at times by some customers,but having a positive, cheerful  attitude  overcomes that
I have found the Management very helpful and encouraging towards distributors. From Area Coordinators,Zone Managers,Business Managers,through to the State Manager and higher up the ladder at Head Office,they have all been encouraging, helpful and a great support.
Yes it can be hard work,especially in summer,but you do your work in the cooler part of the day.
If you are prepared to work and put your catalogues out and do your pick ups on time,the money is a great help
I would encourage anyone looking to make some money,to give Penny Miller a go.. I have and I havent looked back.. Its a great,supporting company .
The upside is you can work around your family and other commitments

A typical day at work for me would be me going out in the afternoon and collecting the magazines I had dropped on the doorsteps of houses in a particular neighborhood the previous week. If there was an order inside the catalog I would contact him to confirm the order and a suitable time for delivery. My manager would then deliver the merchandise to my home then I would personally visit the customer and hand him items and receive his money.

I learned that not all customers are the same and no matter how unfriendly a customer may be a friendly and welcoming approach is always the most successful.

The job was fairly simple, however pacing and preparing the magazines could be a little tedious at times. I enjoyed the fact that i had met a lot of new people and the invaluable lessons I leaned about customer service.

I came on board at Penny Miller as I pride myself on my customer service skills.
We have a great team at Penny Miller from the top down.
I always find the support I need at any time. My Senior Business Manager in particular, has always given me all the time and support I have needed to make my business grow.
Like anything, if you're prepared to work with honesty and integrity, then you will reap the rewards.
The more you are prepared to put into this business, then the more you can expect to achieve.
If you have a great work ethic, care about your customers, care about your fellow workers and are prepared to put in the hard yards, then you will fit in well with this company.

Penny Miller Homewares is a company that relies on you to determine how hard you work and how much time you put into the job. You can either decide to collect only the few catalogues that people have left outside their front door, or you can go the extra mile and ask residents if they still have their copy so they can return it to you; for every catalogue you collect increases your revenue each week.

I worked for Penny Miller for years until they brought in a new senior manager since then the company has gone down hill.
everyone used to work well together and be motivated but since she has come on she is nasty to people says discriminating things and bullies people.
The a lot of the items are faulty and missing and lot of products not available.
you walk for ages dropping books for commission money and only to find out 60% of your orders can not get.
do not recommend this company as paid peanuts and constant bullying from senior staff.

I was a catalogue distributor for Penny Miller in my immediate and surrounding neighbourhood. Duties included; delivering catalogues, collecting orders (for selected catalogue items) and delivering items that customers have ordered. I also followed up on queries that customers may have had about a certain product or the catalogue itself. The hardest part was when customers no longer wanted part in receiving products. the most enjoyable part was that it was therapeutic.

I was manager for about two years and had about twenty people under me at times,  as a team manager I had to make sure my team worked efficient and we're always happy,  a happy team made more profit margin for my up line manager as we all worked for a percentage of our sales each week. The harder we worked the more we made for the company. Yes sometimes it was but it made me a more in control person in charge of a team of people. stressful

Distributing catalogues and collecting back every week.
I learnt basic culture of business and recruiting people.
I enjoyed the outdoor work and meeting new people.
I also enjoyed dealing with challenges that the work presents and solving them together with the help of managers.
The hardest part of the job is learning the admin side of it but got better in time through further training and support of my manager.

Delivering and collecting catalogues, advertising for staff, interviewing staff, training staff, meeting staff to deliver order for their customers.
Management was very helpful and supportive. Hardest part was putting all the effort into the job and not getting the reward or pay we deserved. Most enjoyable was being a area manager and supervision others.

This work was cash in hand and was a great way to keep fit and active. It involved me delivering catalogues twice a week and picking them back up twice a week. Orders were submitted and delivered the following week with payment. I loved the people I got to meet however the money wasn't very secure as it depended on the amount of orders received each week, sometimes I got very few
