The most enjoyable day at work was serving the customers,asking if any of the customers needing help finding the right size. Working at the cash registers,exchanging stock for a different kind. The management was fabulous, they would come up to me if i needed help and say if your stuck just come up and ask them. I'm a fast learner and very keen to work in a new retail environment.
The hardest part about the job was, when it came to buy one and get the second pair half price. I had one customer that came to me and said what does the sign say. I explained the sign to the customer, that you buy a shoe and get the second pair half price, instead of paying for the second pair full price you pay half of what you are paying for the first pair. This customer still didn't understand me, so I had to get my manager to help me out with the situation.
What I learnt, I've learnt how to stock shelves and know how to register the cash register. I have alot of experience in cash handling and EFTPOS/Credit cards.
A typical day at work was when all the stock came on Thursdays Which was very busy as well. Which I perfer a busy day, for me to enjoy my day being at work. Making sure the stock is in the right place before customers arrive.

A typical day at work started with me signing in the system at the back office; checking the communications from the head office, sales performance of my associate and that day's target sales. Then I would give a round in the store to see how my merchandises are displayed and give a break to the associate.Take care of the sales floor till the associate is back. Then we used to do the next task to be completed;either filling or shipment or any management or training job. End of the store hours, closing the Point Of Sales and computer after calculation and locking the store.So i have pretty much learned all skills required in a retail environment. My co-workers were fun-loving and hard working,so it was never tiring being long hours in the store. The most enjoyable part of the job was dealing with the customers. Different people different personalities with different needs,and making most of them happy used to make me love this job more.

Our shop floor was our store room as well as the selling area, so the topstock had to be kept tidy and level.
It was a very hands on job and you had to multi task a lot.
The hardest part of the job was to try and keep the staff happy, when there was such a lot of work to be done and to keep the stress levels down.
The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting new and regular customers, which i looked forward to each day.

A typical day at work at pay-less was stressful and the manager was not understanding or nice towards employees. Although despite the unwelcoming atmosphere i managed to learn a few things that will help in my future retail jobs, such as, suggesting other products the customer might be interested in and promoting the products to the customer. The workplace culture was not welcoming and very cruel to beginners, the hardest part of the job was pretending that the manager was nice and her ruddiness was just part of the experience. Although the most enjoyable part of the job was making new friends with the co workers as they helped showed me how the store was set up etc.

I loved working at Payless shoes as i was able to learn new skills and build a healthy relationship with my peers. I loved interacting with the customers and making their days better. It was easy to manage my time at Payless as I was able to identify where all the stock was located. Usually i would organise and clean the store and assist customers. One of the hardest parts of the job was trying to accommodate to every single one of the customers need and how to deal with their issues. I learnt to compensate with the customers and give them an overall lovely service.

I really loved working at Payless Shoes, however due to the business closing down we lost our jobs. A typical day at work included opening up the store cashing in along with serving customers and assisting measuring children's/adults feet, I loved the people I worked, I learnt a number of team work skills which I currently use today not only in work but at University as well. This job allowed for me to understand the needs and wants of customers along with how to handle customers and difficult situations.

payless shoes was a company that provided many fast paced challanges,with changes happening all the time which was good for staff keeping you busy all the time,but you were still able to make sure the customer came first,management was just a phone call or email away if there was a problem,the most enjoyable part was the happiness of the customer when they found the shoes they loved and purchased.

Payless Shoes source, was a difficult however enjoyable job. As the staff where positive, worked well together and aided each other with their tasks.  The job involved tasks from taking phone calls and placing items aside to carrying heavy box and moving stock around. Overall Payless was a challenging job, however the experiences gather from it are very insightful.

I garnered my position at Payless after 4 years out of the workforce. 
It was a calm & easy step back into work life after remaining at home to mother my 2 children. 
I have enjoyed this opportunity immensely, it's catapulted me back into the public- which I thrive on because I love being around people.

learnt heaps about business management. great place to work if you get along with co-workers.  I was the store manager and I employed applicants who I knew would fit in with other staff which made everyone's job enjoyable because we helped each other. The hardest part was the pressure put on for results. It always seemed the better you did the more they expected.
