Pauls Warehouse

Pauls warehouse was a great company to work for, I would enjoy every shift as everyone was so friendly including all managers  we all became so close which was beneficial as it made our tasks easier  whilst working together and independently. A typical day at work would generally be upstairs selling in the shoe department, but sometimes I would have to switch roles on the cash register or do hands on tasks when needed. This job gave me a confidence boost as I would have to interact with diverse customers constantly every day and attend to their needs. For example pronation and supination and what shoe suits each individual. The management team were great and helpful but lacked a bit of organisation. For example when sorting our rosters and when the air conditioning wasn't fixed in the summer. I would say the hardest part of the job was at the beginning when I first started as i had little to no experience in running shoes I found it a little bit difficult learning product knowledge so I asked for a booklet to help me progress further on it. Overall the workplace culture was great and as I mentioned above Pauls Warehouse became like a family environment which made every shift a good one.

Pauls warehouse is a great place to work i absolutely loved it the managers are good fair honest people and they go above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome and equal to every other staff member.
A typical days work flys by in comparison to other places i have worked because you are constantly busy and there is always something for you to do.
The hardest part about working at Pauls warehouse is learning where all the shoes are kept that are on the wall vs on the floor but once you get to know where they are its a breeze, i enjoyed every part of working at pals the customers the staff there was always a good laugh and good friendly banter which is what you really look for in a workplace.
I learnt how to fit any customer with the kind of shoe that fit right for their foot whether they needed arch support or support to stop their foot rolling out too far.

Filled with many beautiful staff members and an enjoyable role, this job is unfortunately ruined by the power trip of some of the higher managers. Casuals will only receive 2-3 shifts a week and unrealistic deadlines and policies are put in place by management. Pay rate is the minimum reward in Australia. Despite this, fantastic for building experience in a variety of fields (warehouse work, sales, etc)

Clear instructions, friendly staff, boss not afraid of admitting when wrong about something. Overall a great place with great people. Just not enough hours and no chance to advance however this I feel was likely specific to me due to my circumstances.

Work can get dull though. Very dull.

Head office staff are not very helpful and there is one paricular person at head office who should not be employed in their role.
She lacks empathy and general people skills.
She would be well to do with a lesson in humility it might make her a better human being.

The job requires energetic and enthusiastic employees who have strong customer service skills. The hardest part is being able to fully know a product so as to be able to intricately sell it to customers. The most enjoyable part of the job is the interactions with the customers and co-workers. Needs good memory skills in retrieving stock for customers.

Serving, cleaning sorting, lifting and unpacking boxes, travelling around to different stores to unload containers of stock. The main objective that was achieved was up selling items. Was also place to work in the online site of Paul’s Warehouse, which included completing online orders, picking and packing and shipping orders out.

It was fun, workers treated each other as a family :) I learnt how to productively sell shoes and how to communicate with customers. They management was professional and the workplace culture was friendly. The hardest part was the stock take week and the most enjoyable part was the company you were surrounded with.

Working at Paul's Warehouse has started off my working life well. Surrounded by young staff that are very similar in age and capability to myself has motivated me to work hard and achieve the best i can in any working environment and team.
