My typical day at work starts with analyzing our goals for the day, what we have to achieve, then plan ahead, how much time it will take and discuss it with engineers, involved in the same project. The next step is to accomplish, what has been planned and pass it to the engineer to review. After more than 6 years of working for the company I learned, how to work on single and multi-discipline large scale projects, with major focus on timelines and quality of delivarables. We have a fantastic team, really supportive and friendly. The hardest part of the job is time between large projects. The most enjoyable part of the job is on time delivery and feeling of accomplishment after.

My typical day consisted of providing assistance to customers who’s vehicle had broken own on the toll road. There was usually a traffic accident that I would assist in coordinating in with law enforcement, EMS and roadway personnel. 
I learned that people really appreciate good customer service.
The hardest part of the job for me was idle time due to mileage constraints. 
The most rewarding part of the job was the very good surveys that I received from customers.

I was only at Parsons Brinckerhoff for a week on year 10 work experience. I learned that there is a lot of work that goes into being part of a company. I was trained to write capability statements and project sheets, call clients, draft field verification reports, read contracts to look at liability, format CV’s and organise folders and catalogues and perform other administration work. Overall the management was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed working with a team and experiencing workplace formalities for the first time.

Great bunch of people, staff benefits are some of the best I have seen such as free fruit, tea and coffee and happy hour events.  Also workplace social club for extra activities.  Overall management is good, just numerous changes within the last year have taken place which can complicate things - I personally dont have an issue with change, but was difficult to keep up at times.  Tough market in the engineering world at the moment so a lack of current job security - but I dont see that as a fault of PB.  I would highly recommend PB as a company to work for.

Most of my projects involve hydraulic modelling using H20 Map water or Infoworks CS. Projects worked include
Inflow and infiltration analysis
Hydraulic modelling of water reticulation networks
Hydraulic modelling of sewer reticulation networks
Drainage Projects

There is no other engineering firm what PB that cannot achieved and accomplished it is the master of all every engineering discipline that you can think of. Excellent in engineering achievements and accomplishment throughout the decades.

I attended the firm for work experience during high school, the company made me feel welcome and allowed me to grasp an immense understanding to what an engineer does. worked really well me and gave me opportunities to grow and learn.

Good place to work as an intern. Provided me with plenty of experience as an undergraduate

I worked as a mechanical engineering intern, and I felt like I was really put to the test. I had a great learning experience and would do it again if i had the chance.
