A typical day at work was normally coming home happy. You have good days and bad days depending on the job you were doing. Sometimes machine would break down and it would be frustrating. I learned a lot while working there regarding safety, good manufacturing practices, and food handling skills.
Management were ok, some line managers were ok but you got the odd one that wasn't. The hardest part of the job was when you were trying to pull your weight but others weren't. Also if the machine stopped or broke down there was a lot of mess to clean up because there would be ice cream everywhere and it had to be cleaned up so nobody would slip or fall. Also for QC  reasons and quality. The culture at Peters was very good. It was a discrimination free workplace and it didn't matter what race, religion or culture you were from you were expected to get along with your peers.
The most enjoyable part of the job was when you did a good days work without any breakdowns and that the required number of product was manufactured for your shift. Also it was enjoyable to make new friends and to go to work and see your old friends that you work with.

Driving from Bundaberg to Hervey Bay selling and delivering ice creams out of a frozen food truck. Learned customer service skills time management route planning. Only one other driver in this area at the time and we are good friends. the hardest part of the job was defrosting freezers when they iced up and Easter and Christmas periods where sales increased dramatically over these periods, also one of the most enjoyable challenging you to complete the run selling more ice creams in one day than you would in a normal week. Working in one of the most picturesque areas in Queensland

One thing I love about working here is the people. Everyone is always so lovely, and it feels like working for a small family owner business. Despite this, the company has a large employee base, and consequently there are plenty of career advancement, or expanding opportunities.
The best part is the free ice cream.
The worst part is that things change so quickly, so you have to be prepared to drop everything to attend to an urgent task. This is the nature of the Food and Beverage industry though.

In day shift they appreciate only certain people who belongs to that one person in management.They have direct lift there for progress while for others they make it tough and unappreciated atmosphere.Doesn’t matter you work better then them.

Very nice place to work with good pay rate but you wont get enough hours as a casual only couple of days a week. you have to be able to work mondey to friday. you get shifts daily in the app but mostly you only make $850 everyone week on average.

I was on a short term contract working in the Asset Management team. It was an amazing experience and learned a lot. My managers supported me in overcoming the learning gap and it was a great team environment.

Working within a team of 5 (including the team leader), busy environment within the accounts payable function.  
Shift work is required every three weeks.

Weekly and monthly payments are made for local and for overseas suppliers.

A rewarding but demanding role. Enjoyed route riding and coaching the team. Every day was different. Good, fun culture. Exciting products (ice cream).

A great working environment. A typical day is to make 100 outbound calls ensuring customers have enough stock if they require, organize stock to be delivered.

Outdated systems, too many managers and not enough ground level work being put in to make progress. Seriously need to update internal systems and processes.
