I did work experience for a couple of weeks, working 5 days of the early shift (7am-3pm) one week, and for the next week, 5 days of the late shift (3pm-11pm).

I worked in the Bindery department loading magazine sections into the machine. Watched and listened to the operator who was adjusting the machine when problem(s) occurred. Also I worked in the Web Press department, learning how the ink works together to form certain colours and how the operators lined the ink up to get the certain colour. In the Distribution department I learnt about the different areas for different magazines going to; Sydney, Queensland etc.

Co-workers were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They all knew each other well and got along with each other.

Travelling was the hardest part of the job as I had to travel 1 hour to work everyday.

Being able to work in a fun workplace, meet and get along with new people and learning how the different departments came together to make the magazines was the most enjoyable part of the job.

dispatch/receive
preparing orders through computers, dispatch, receive, forklift, loading unloading. general duties such as pick and pack
directing truck for deliveries. Check orders for accuracy and consigning to the correct location of delivery. OH&S. Communicating with staffs and customers. Reporting all dangers and improvements to the management.
How to deal with workloads.Keeping customers satisfied with late deliveries or any discrepancies with orders and react in a swift and accurate manner.
satisfaction of getting things done on time every time. Getting positive results and compliments from the management.

when I worked for pmp limited, it was algood. we deal with catalogues...etc..
I deal with different machines all around the factory.
the hardest part of the job is when the supervisor comes and tells you what to do, then u go do it. then 5 min later your team leader tells you off for doing what I was doing. then I turn  around and tell the team leader, hey mate I'm just doing what the supervisor told me to do. Don't just come out of know were and tell me off mate. That's a no to me. but other than that co workers there were very polite and kind to others. I would say the most enjoyable part of the job is when I'm operating the machines.

Good place to work, I learn to be a experience table hand in the bindery and printing industry.

 Management very good to the staff and always there to help with any problems,
You enjoy your job because of the work place culture.
 When new staff started we all get together to help them learn what they had to do, that was the culture there.
Hard part of the job was, hand feeding 48pp, 32pp  sections on a machine!
I enjoy working there and made a lot of life long friends.

I worked as part of a team picking and packing magazines,some familiar some not. I was given the opportunity to get a Forklift License,and the added responsibility of a Team Leader.Working here gave me the opportuniy to learn all aspect of the Warehousing Indusrty, from Load and unloading of trucks to checking the documentation

Great place to work, feel comfortable with everyone and I always do the same for the new people who coming in and worked with me, so they feel good to come back for the next day. And the surrounding is really safe if you follow the rules and the safety as the first priority.

Each day is almost the same with a lot of negativity from workers. Each day Occupational health and safety guidelines are not followed.
The hardest part of the job is making it through the day without losing your mind.
The most enjoyable part of work is leaving to go home.

A typical day at work everyone did a few loosen up exercises then go to your assigned station either sorting or feeding magazines With more than one person at each station each would help each other.Every hour would move to next station so work always varied,reason for leaving was factory closed down.

I have learnt a lot from working within this company, working in a fast paced environment.
The co-workers were fun to work around and respectful.
The hardest part of the job was keeping up the orders to be shipped out the same night.
The most enjoyable part of this job was being able to have fun whilst working.

I worked PMP for twenty four years. I did my apprenticeship and worked like a champion for the whole time. When I finally got frustrated enough to do something about it and leave. On the day I left,not a single person from the company came and said goodbye and/or good luck ... Nothing...
