Early start 6 am organisation of scheduled jobs for the day. Set up of equipment and Linen required. Cleaning of rooms until tool box around 9am. Continue rooms until lunch time and replenish stock.
Finish of more rooms if busy day or do other assigned jobs. Smoko at 2.30pm then finish rooms or other assigned jobs. Pack down trolleys put away dirty linen. Replenish chemicals and utensils required for start of next day. Finish day at 5.30pm.

Learnt Zero Harm Policies, Correct Manual, Handling Techniques,
Jasol correct usage and storage of chemicals. Completed Senior 1st aid course and completed Fire Warden Course.

Job allocation was handled in a good manner.

Co workers were great to work with good team morale.

Loved the job so the hardest part was probably the 2 weeks working in 48 degree heat.

Satisfaction when clients praised you on their beautiful room that you have cleaned for them and the great way the camp was kept.

Exciting company to work for. Encourage team building exercises and understand the importance of social activities within the workforce so people work better together. Management are only a phone call away and listen to all concerns. Job security is as much as it is with any other construction industry job. I spent almost 2 years going to work and laughing most days as it was such a fun filled environment. In camps you have to laugh or depression will get the better of you. I highly recommend working for this company if you get the chance. It is physically demanding but rewarding.

I worked with this company during a period of upheaval. OBC had made the bold decision to upgrade to a tier 4 contractor. This required a lot of restructuring which at times caused fluctuations on site with reallocation of work balance, descriptions, position statements and appointments. Some really good people doing the best they can. Will be interesting to revisit OBC in 2 years time to see how well the restructure worked.

my typical day at work was up at 1-30am and off we go head down bum up for the next ten hours.Life was good as all my team members were happy and easy to work with, and that made the day go fast.We all learnt somethink new every day ,it could be about hygiene,cooking ,just life in general. the part was leaving my family when I went to work.the most enjoyable part was just the job and the people I work with.

they have a good crew of blokes ect but they dont allow yourself to further experiances in other machines once ur in a machine u stay there day in day out and its all about who you kno with ostwld bros if u aint got a family member up the chain no chance

This job allows me the responsibility to run my own menu. The company is great and very supportive of my choices. I have learned a lot in the industry. I have a great team beside me. The hardest part of my job would have to be the two week on, one week off roster as the majority of my time is out on site and away from my family. I get a great sense of job satisfaction.

my days would start by opening the weigh bridge and greeting the truck drivers onto the weigh bridge. I learnt new skills on the computer by entrying data and weights of the trucks and the amount of material they are carting. All the co-workers were lovely and pleasant to work with, they were all so helpful when Ihad a problem and I would go back to this anytime.

A family orientated company that really do care for the people who work hard for them. It really is a great place to work. being safely productive is important to everyone at the company. There is always support from the team on hand no matter what is required.

the days were busy and sometimes cruisey, I've learnt a lot about how and why we test the material for the roads and also concrete.
The management was good, things were done when mentioned, my co- workers were great to work with, made the days go by faster. the hardest part about the job would have to be the constant lifting of heavy materials, and most enjoyable part is home time.
