Every week I’d be expected to work 15+ hours overtime a week without pay (was on salary) management never got back to me after I brought up the issues. While there I had people try and rob me and pull knives out and management never helped with any of that, you’d just fill out a report and nothing would go any further, they wouldn’t even ban people from the store. The others working there (except for managers) were always pretty cool though

Honestly one of the best work environments if you ignore the berating emails from head office every day. My in store manager was the best person on this planet, but everyone at head office spoke down to us and treated us all as if we weren’t doing our jobs. Makes for quick turn arounds in staff as not many people can put up with their daily belittling

I enjoyed working at Off Ya Tree and topped my sales budget
continually.  I could not  advance in this company. I had a 
completely different customer base compared to my
previous job. I worked late nights  and weekends and found
I had to fight for my entitlements. I want a career and so
I moved on to Traffic Control but did not realise most of
traffic jobs are casual.

I was hired as a retail assistant.  I really enjoyed my job in retail but was not happy about some of the products I had to sell.  When the store was raided I decided I would look for a new job.

Manager is absolutely horrible, doesn’t care about customers or anyone else. Upper management are dodgy and unsupportive, when you tell them you feel like you are being bullied by your manager they tell you “you are not being bullied” when you so clearly are. Training and hygiene practices are out of whack. 

Quite unprofessional management. Head office only ever contacted branches for negative feedback. Used and abused young employees, especially for specials that ran for a few months.

Great culture. Supportive management.
Asked to work hard and long hours on salary.
Casuals underutilized
Excellent training

I’ve learnt so much and our little team is amazing. 
Can get busy when piercing promos are on but it makes it fun along with regulars that come in also. 

Toxic upper management as well as the in store manager who micro managed and would get angry having to repeat something. Mind you, this was on my second shift.


Absolutely loved working here. Positive environment, support to meet and exceed KPIs. Great clientele. Opportunities to advance quickly. Management were lovely and all staff were kind and helpful
