Friendly staff - I've forged some meaningful friendships here and the lunchroom is always fun conversation for breaks 

Consistent work - 7-2.30 or 8-3.30 Monday - Friday every week, does quiet down over Summer and Autumn though

Weekends off - good for work/life balance, occasionally an optional Saturday is available at double time 

Further opportunities - apprenticeships available, training available to progress or for future horticulture jobs 

Difficult to travel to - in an isolated area with no nearby shops, buses are inconvenient without a licence

Repetitive - usually the same hand actions, lots of lifting

I generally enjoyed my time at Oasis over the Spring and Summer period. Work hours are not guaranteed meaning it was difficult to plan events or appointments outside of work from Monday to Friday. Starting time was usually around 6 am-7:30 am with finishing time anywhere from 11 am - 5 pm. Over-time was required but if you needed to leave early due to an appointment or family-related reason, it was not used against you. 

If you'd like to be bullied, harrassed, belittled, yelled at, and exploited you have found the place. 

If you're interested in relatively easy money, work at Oasis for one to two months, document everything, you will experience harrassment and bullying, you will feel stressed and emotionally ruined - after your time you will have a good case for workplace bullying as they ignore all issues regarding bullying. 

Enjoy workers compensation. 

Alternatively just avoid working here, it is not worth it.

I was casually employed, but found my direct manager to be supportive and had a great induction to the business.
The work days were quite structured and fast paced. In our area the managers focused on safety and doing things in a way that insured we produced a quality product. I like working there and met a lot of great people. Only left as I got a full time job closer to home. 

It's an exciting place to work as there is a even number of boy and girls working there and the occasional behind closed doors college hook up. Lots of pranks happen. If u like to gasbag then there is slot of that aswell. Overall it's a top place to work. Lots of sex, pranks, good foods, friends, easy work life and good work balance

the work was good but the dispatch supervisor was not a nice person she would be-little you in front off the other workers which was not the best environment to work in

The up side of working their was the other workers are very nice and helpful and you can get cheep plants for the garden 
i would work their again but in a different department.

Yes Oasis does allow job advancement but you won’t be paid for it. You will be made to work above your pay rate doing your supervisors job with no chance of ever receiving an increase.

Managements expectations are high, and unrealistic. 

Working at Oasis horticulture is the equivalent of having an abusive partner.

Great place to work, management have high expectations, but if you are prepared to put in the effort you will get the recognition and opportunities for advancement.

Required to work on your own, sometimes in a team. There are two bosses in one section which makes things difficult, one boss will tell you to do something and the other boss will tell you off for doing it???? I left and found work at another nursery and now I realise how awful Oasis is to work for look somewhere else if you want to work with plants.

Some great people in the team with nice customers.

Senior management team are amongst to the worst I have worked with. Little strategic direction and a very poor culture of blame and deception.

I would not recommend working here if you are in mid to senior roles.

As a nursery hand it would be ok
