OSHC

My typical day is very busy making food preparing activities for 30 children writing out comes and doing child profile maps also doing a reflection journal informing parents on what activities there children have done on a daily basis. I enjoy seeing how happy the children are especially when they are doing the things they love e.g painting, arts and crafts and cooking. I find it hard sometimes when i have 30 children booked in and with in the 30 children maybe only 5 will listen at the start of the shift but the children after 15 minutes start to settle down and listen. I enjoy cooking with the children and i enjoy when the children make me thing during arts and crafts that i can put in my book

The worst company to work at is camp australia, you get no help or support, alot of bullying, HR are no help at all. When you ring up to get help, no one gets back to you. The children, families and school community are beautiful, but the company and some of the managers are horrible, but some are very polite and helpful. I stayed at the company for 18 months for the lovely Regional manager that was kind and helpful and the supportive staff I had working with me.To all the lovely helpful people that made it that much easier to work in such a horrible environment. I Thank you and wish you well in your future endeavors.

It was always good to go into work, participate in activities with children. Meet all new little children and hearing about their days at school. My co-workers were always there to help me get on my way, help me with whatever troubles I had. There was no hard part in working there. It was all enjoyable to me.

I have always had a great experience when working in an OSHC setting. Everyone is always friendly and helping the children learn and start to self regulate different emotions is very rewarding. Managing a team wsa challenging at first, but having great and responsive people to work with made the job easier every time.

Excellent place to work, they understand your needs and try to accommodate you. Really impressed with their treatment of staff, efficiency in pay, good place, and good opportunities for internal training, development and promotion.

The children and other staff were great to work with. A typical day at work was working very closely with the educators and children planning out what they would be doing for the afternoon and what activities they would be enjoying.

working with children was a rewarding experience and has given me some great life skills. requirements of the job inlcude: activity planning, cooking, cleaning, entertainment.

OSHC is a working place for all ages from 12+ and keeps everyone motivated and always doing something. This is a Job that if you would like to look after kids in the Mornings/Afternoons.
