It’s all about the politicking and apparatchik of recalcitrant management. Be prepared for daily performance reviews, minimum wages, the donkey and carrot treatment of commissions and bonuses.

Be prepared to be taken to rooms for constant critiques, zero prospect of advancement in the company and see management flat out lie. Also, the rostering. Be prepared for no two days with the same starting time. Split weekends are their thing. Management don’t like being questioned or challenged. There’s also been 24 groups of new hires in the space of 2 years. Unless you’re in danger of being homeless, avoid this joke of a job unless you don’t value work/life balance or job security.

Flexible break time arrangement. People were approachable most of the time if you have questions

Some of the stakeholders aren’t that easier to cooperate for the information you requested. Old systems to work with

Casual work attire, occasionally have catch up with your colleagues. But most people have their own priorities and family responsibilities wouldn’t engage in the company culture that much

Focusing on SLA and maintaining good relationship with stakeholders

I was great at my job, I enjoyed doing it but the work load was ever growing and I begged for help for months, we needed more staff. I was told we aren't making enough money, despite the fact we are booked out almost 2 weeks in advance constantly.

My colleague even cried at work due to stress and it was documented in email complaints to higher management. Yet nothing happens.

Do not get a desk job here. 

When I started it seemed fine and there was decent support and a guaranteed lunch break but after moving from the branch to being a mobile technician you lose all hope of getting a break. you are constantly under pressure to complete every job within an hour if you are to finish on time and jobs are booked very poorly, with weekend work I was told it would be a half day (8 - 12), then they started booking more and more until it turned into a full day on Saturday too. If you value your free time and a stress-free environment this is not for you.

Absolutely poor management where staff including managers are rude and not approachable. not flexible or lenient with availability. You’re only ever recognised for doing mistakes but never recognised for doing good. They expect so much and more of you which wasn’t apart of the role that was advertised,  with NO form of compensation. Turnover is high at the contact centre so expect for it to be understaffed at times. The culture of the call centre had become very intense and there’s a huge divide between management and associates.

Management only care about hitting a numbers target and that is absolutely it. The turn over is so high that they don’t value their employees because there’s new people coming in every week. They micro manage to an unbelievable extent. They also start giving letters of concern if you’re not hitting a numbers target and will find a reason to fire you if you’re not performing well. Instead of encouraging growth and for colleagues to persevere they resort to firing people.

Money grabbing sales.
Ridiculous targets
Management who whisper constantly 
Bonus’s that get taken away at any given moment
Quality assurance that is impossible to reach
And the worst part charging people triple what they should pay for a new windscreen and convincing them they are getting a different service to anywhere else.

Awful place to work, spent 6 months here before I couldn’t bare it anymore and this is coming from somebody who has a lot of experience in commission and sales roles.

Obrien glass padstow has the worst management. I was recently sacked but maddie from hr did not give me any chances whatsoever. They make you work like dogs and expect you to do ot for not even the right amount of money. Pathetic do not work here. No matter how much you try to do your best at the job they only give you a couple of days to learn the system and how everything runs and then immediately put on the floor expecting u to know everything. Poorly managed! However the staff there are awesome. Management is just pathetic.

Leaving, micromanaged by people with lack of vision

Lack of communication,  and expectations are negatively enforced

looks good but is not!
Bad energy people faking it to make it

A day of disappointment, no one is onbord the way they should be..

Working at work O’Brien, had given more skills and more confidence, however, I wouldn’t recommend working at O’Brien Auto Glass if someone doesn’t like a really repetitive job, it does get tiring after a bit but overall the pay is amazing, the team leaders are friendly, they’re very flexible with your timetable, management is a bit tough sometimes but they’re nice too, breaks during work hours are enough and overall a good experience to add onto my resume.
