My typical day was with Blindware. This is my sole picking of orders. I would pick other orders unless Blindware had dropped their orders I am to finish them above all other work.
learning the types of products I have, I could look ahead on the pickslipand pick my orders as per their lengths making the packing easier, quicker and in long run made it easy for the boys for loading on the trucks. In knowing this all my pallets made it to their clients which was an awesome feeling.
Knowing the products you see which was the fast moving stock so I was able to stage them down low for my ease of picking instead of having to pull the pallets down from height especially if they're 2.5m in length which they were (some longer)
We had an awesome crew and we all got along and helped each other when in need. Doing Blindware it was only myself and didn't really need help.
The hardest part of Blindware is the different lenghts and weights of the products....the rolls were the heaviest of products.
The enjoyable part of my job was I enjoyed what I did and I got to work on my own. I don't mind working with others just preferred on my own where if anything went wrong there will be nowhere else to point to but me and don't like accusing people for wrong doing.

Always keep to yourself nothing is private everyone is in your business they like to be involved i  your business at work and personal. Everyone thats works in Northline they are related or a friend of a friend.

The office Administration you must be in the in group if not they will treat you the under dog. Management is really unprofessional at this depot Smithfield 

Northline is a very large company they have depos in every state in australia they have great training for new staff and offer incentives for doing a good job i learned a lot working there i would not of left if i wasnt leaving the state.

Great place to work and not have to bring work home. would come in do my job to the best of my ability. 

Learnt how to handle customers that we upset and angry on the phone. 

Hardest part of the job was not meeting the expectations for the customer due to transit complications.

Most enjoyable part of the job would the fact even though it was a big company it still had that family company feel.

Northline gave me great opportunities to grow and learn with a great team. Learnt about safety and other useful skills.

I am looking for more experience in diverse jobs and Northline has given me just that with the opportunity to get a forklift license and truck license.

I found I was constantly micromanaged. Working in a team of 3 with a mother and daughter, I was the odd one out and constantly got blamed for everything that went wrong. Poor communication from  my manager, who thought it was be easier to terminate my employment than discuss my issues and concerns 

Fellow workers and lower management are good overall. Middle management was poor. Work practices and safety left a lot to be desired. You had to keep working until all delivers for that day had been delivered.

People are good to work with, easy job when every thing goes well. Can be hard work lots of lifting. Only problem had was people not scanning items making it harder to find. 

not much lifting.straight falward.nice staff.they replaced a lot of workiers with overseas workers on visas.the job was very dangerous and an accident waiting to happen.

I enjoyed working for Northline for 3 years as part of the graduate program and then moving in to a marketing coordinator position and an internal account management position.
