I joined Newscorp thinking it was the greatest achievement i had and i was really excited with my first week being uncertain and exciting also. Then, everything went downhill from there and i tried to convince myself that this is just the 'news culture' and literally everyone else that i asked, had the same answer - that it was the 'new culture'. 

There was a lack of assistance or guidance form management... in fact, it feels like you're destined for failure - and again, you could say that they push you to learn for yourself, but even then, you'd need a push. 

After that, i was getting blamed for work that i apparently never did and never was once briefed on - so they expect you to read their minds. Additionally, there are certain documents you're suppose to be presenting to management but even then, no guidance whatsoever to guide you to 1. know where these template documents are and 2. help you understand what information is required. 

In conclusion, managers dont support you, nor do they respond to your call when you need assistance and then blame you for not doing their work right. 

Sadly an organisation in peril.  Undergoing transformation however struggling against outdated and change resistant senior leadership.  Quite a few dedicated individuals try to maintain a drive for business process improvement and change, however senior management struggle to struggle to adopt innovation and best business practices.
One of the harshest environments I've ever had to work in with a culture of self preservation perpetuated by lack of leadership.  
No organisation values to hold people accountable too and no enforced accountability present.
A bold trail is being blazed by the new HR Director however the organisation as a whole is a long way off from embracing the new model. 
I found a culture that accepted homophobia and misogynistic behavior to be too challenging to work with.  Especially in a day and age when this is openly unacceptable in most organisations.

As an Administrative Officer, this role has provided immense satisfaction through its dynamic blend of responsibilities. Each day involves managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring the office operates seamlessly, which I find both challenging and rewarding. The position has honed my skills in organization, communication, and problem-solving, particularly when navigating last-minute changes or streamlining processes for greater efficiency.

I appreciate the collaborative environment and the opportunity to be the central support point for the entire team. Seeing a project or event succeed due to strong administrative groundwork is deeply fulfilling. While the pace can be fast and multitasking is constant, the role offers excellent visibility into all company operations and genuine appreciation from colleagues. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The managers are biased and list bothered about the staff. I had a very bad experience and even after escalating the matter no action was taken infact that particular manager got promoted. Worst place to work and I highly regret wasting my precious time working there.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Racist managers. 
Promoting their own people

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The manager i worked with had absolutely no knowledge or idea about the work the team was doing.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The work is not distributed fairly. Person who does good work is rewarded with extra work

On a daily bases I take inbound calls from a variety of customers who maybe upset due to there paper not being delivered or they have   been charged twice on there account, technical issues and general inquiries.

Every customer receives the best customer service I can provide as customer service is paramount and it is up to me to make sure that this happens regardless of how large or small the issue maybe at the time.

I have learnt to deal with customers on different levels and not to take things personally as they as not upset with me but rather the situation and it is my job to fix the issue.

I enjoy the interaction I have with my customers and to feel that I do make a difference to them and there day.

Preparing reports and analysis on weekly subscription performance to allow decision making across the marketing department. I learned a lot about how marketing works in a business to attract new customers.
Good team culture in the marketing department with team drinks and many social activities to boost engagement.
The most enjoyable part is the people and learning off peers. Having access to talented people across the business is also a plus.
Hardest part is the demanding budget and forecasting process that often requires longs hours to complete. Resources have been reduced making extra work for the remaining staff members.

-A typical work day is about 12 hours with supporting 21 sales people which includes both client meetings/strategy sessions with sales/ data deep dives for retention and inumerable internal management meetings.
- Have learnt to be clear, decisive and provide high direction as there are too many tasks. Choice management on time is critical tending towards higher ROI activity.
- Very good vision but clear lack of the "how"
- Good work culture
- No clear charter of KPI's and responsibilities within different departments which leads to buck passing in which the customer suffers the most.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Flexible hours, intense training for different job roles. Good managers and work mates.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No stress in my role as a collections Officer.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is healthy and safe and there are all kinds of health and care platforms to access.
The culture is excellent as we have many cultural festivals and a diverse selection of employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Log in to work station, morning tea then work then lunch, Some days we celebrate birthdays or long service celebrations. On a quarterly basis we have volunteer day or a team bonding day.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I learnt a lot at News Corp but I was underpaid & treated badly by some of the management for doing a good job, a lot of nepotism & dodgy audits so it was frustrating at times. There were some really good people there but the people who were put in charge should never have been there. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with Newsagents who would abuse you for things out of your control & also rubbish management.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Middle of the road, sleazy upper management, political paper.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
On road, visit customers ,do emails, merchandise stores, event management, new business sales.
