Most staff are kind and helpful; some learners have a nice attitude, those who I have worked with generally participate in creative classroom activities. The management are also very helpful, guidance in relation to government priorities have also been given. It is difficult to plan a lesson with short notice; however, with some resources such as, mini-whiteboards it can be achieved without any issues. It is nice to work with learners who are willing to participate in active learning. But the most enjoyable yet challenging part of teaching at this place is to convert the passive learner into an active learner.

My days at Newcastle College were long as all I was doing was sitting at a desk writing on paper. I learnt quite a lot of things in the Travel and Tourism industry such as airfare tickets. The tutors there are very kind and easy to get along with. The whole course itself was pretty easy to complete and the most enjoyable part of the course was going on trips with the rest of the class such as Blackpool and museums.

A typical day at work involves multilevel communications with members of the team, admin staff and students. This helps identify the goals for the day. Classroom teaching takes place with enrichment activities and progression of students in mind at all times.

Terrible Management - bullying culture with impossible targets to achieve despite the fact that management enrols anything with a pulse to do linear A levels. Avoid this culturally bankrupt institution at all costs!

Newcastle College was a very well organised college which provided great teachers with a lot of knowledge and I felt I learned a lot being taught there.

I taught people of all ages in many courses in the school of Health and Enterprise.
