This company fosters an unhealthy work life balance by overworking employees, assigning duties that aren’t within job descriptions and not providing staff with support when workloads triple due to the business expanding during the middle of COVID, massively affecting the supply chain. There’s no accountability for any issues that are brought to anyone’s attention, you’re expected to fix them yourself. It’s an unsupportive and isolating environment that should be avoided. 

I worked at NB for nearly 5 years. I progressed through many positions and was offered many opportunities. Higher up was a bit of a boys club and they all had their ways of doing things. Great discounts. Decent customers depending which location you work in. Can be a fun environment. Decent benefits as you advance the ranks. 

Decent retail role, great team vibe so the workers made it a great place to come to. The management were less good, with micro-managing techniques and inefficient managing strategies in line with the latest research on management styles. Customers were quite demanding here as opposed to my time in generic fashion shops, but again the team made it worthwhile.

It was here I begun my language learning journey, through customers I practiced languages and learned many new things through customer service. After a few years, I found some amazing regular customers who would purchase lunch or coffee for me. Eventually some became friends!

First thing in morning check what jobs need to be done and work out what is of high importance with the manager and attack from there with a time line as well, i find that the jobs/tasks should be set a possible time line and communication to find out the reasons behind incomplete tasks and how we solve the task together

New Balance is a customers first type of company. working here has increased my ability to deal with all types of customers and i confidently work around stressful situations with customers. 

Great team environment and support from managers. Most enjoyable part of the job was working with the people and learning new skills to progress in the workplace.

Serving customers in regards to new balance products. Helping people find the right shoes as well as clothing that matches their needs. Taking payments and memberships as well as general customer service

Love working at NB, so much fun and welcoming environment. Managers are firm but fair, I always look forward coming to work and enjoy it so much! Definitely recommend 

All management staff are friendly, relaxed workplace. Workplace culture is great, all employees get along well and expectations are clear and achievable.
