Been working with NWF for a few years now, the pay is good but the shifts are more of an event only basis. On average one shift a month so you can't rely on the income. Pay is good however penalty rates aren't there for Saturdays. Professionalism lacks in management and needs to improve. Cancelling a shift in due time according to law still gets you the angry backlash from management regardless of reasoning. Shifts vary in length and sometimes you do not know if you are working 3 hours or 9. Therefore, you do not know if it's worth your time making the commute and effort. My advice to management, please be polite and considerate towards your employees as they have the right to cancel casual shifts in due time. Also, please be consistent in providing sufficient shifts to hard working and regular employees or else you will lose experienced and valuable staff. Please also try taking actual feedback towards employees and promote them to positions that motivate them. No one wants to run as a bar stock replenisher when he/she has substantial experience running the till or leading a team. Other than that, it is a great place to work. Fun and fast paced and the culture at the venues is also great.

I worked at a high profile company through National. Some days were very difficult to other days but mostly enjoyed working at the client site.
I believe I learnt that HR is not there to protect the workers.
Management at both client site and through National are toxic and need work in human compassion.
The culture at the client site was filled with bullies and was toxic but I'll absolutely miss the other amazing people there.
Hardest part- No management support- will side with the client.
Most enjoyable- The friends I made and the pride I had in my job.

If choosing National Workforce please be very cautious.

Hi everyone, I am working for National Work force since last month, I am very happy with the opportunity. The job what I doing right now, allowed me to have my own time as a housewife, because  the working hour are perfect I am working from Monday to Thursday 10 hours  every afternoon- night, having free day on Friday's so every week is long weekend for me. The pay rate is good.
I am so happy with this agency, and also for the company where I working right now, everyday is a pleasure. I have a lot of fun in my job. The work environment is fantastic. I feel so blessed.

This is a great place to work its fun and you meet a lot of great people. There are various roles that can be undertaken and they have a lot of great connections with other potential opportunities. There are a wide amount of skills that can be learned and leadership opportunities in some roles. They have great events where you can work that include anything from sporting events to concerts and music festivals I have worked at a number of these events and have been with the company about a year and love it.

I worked a few months for National Workforce the worst work environment and agency ever. My start times would be 4am in the morning I got no penalty rates for starting early and they said they'll pay the penalty rates but it didn't happen. Shocking and than a another job with National workforce came up, thinking this will be better but no the supervisor wanted you to jump through hoops, treated you badly and expected you to come a half hour earlier to keep your job. Never again will I work for National Workforce agency again!!! Good riddens do not miss this Work Agency one bit.

Great people working there, however everyone is over worked and underpaid. Full of promises but never follow through. Hours are long and once they see you are capable they will continue to load more on your plate and say you are not meeting requirements of your role. A lot of favouritism/harassment from upper management which is quite unprofessional. No career advancement as they do not like people moving around within the company and like to save money by keeping you on the same salary/title however give you more responsibilities of a higher position and say it will be reviewed at a later.

It has always been exciting to work on a large variety of events across Sydney and working with National Workforce has made being part of these events an absolute pleasure. 

There is great staff and even better colleagues. The staff are always easy to approach and always available to assist you with anything you might need. Although you work with different people majority of the time on each job, everyone you come across is welcoming, understanding and very helpful. Overall great working environment.

Absolutely love working for NWF. It's a fast paced type of industry so be prepared to work at your best. Only disappointment is the cancelling of shifts that were booked in months prior to the event. 

Negatives
- Cancelling of shifts day before shift
- Not allowing bar managers to choose who they send home when they know whos most valuable to keep on shift
- Hiring of staff that have no experience behind a bar or even how to correctly pour a beer.  

Positives
- Meeting new people and making new friendships
- Gaining more experience and knowledge 
- Atmosphere of events

Always plenty of work to do, some opportunity for full time positions based on 13 week trials, usually quite good pay.
Large range of jobs i've done with them, some bad because they're too repetative and require literally no skill, others can be pretty good, end of the day it's up to you whether you return, but explain what you're looking for in future employment and why you don't want to return to ensure they keep you on call.

Worked for national for almost 2 years. With my experience it has been nothing but positive and rewarding. I work with a amazing team and get to experience all kinds of work in the hospitality industry. National is very professional in appearance and as a company. Pay rate is very good. So if you like fast pace meeting new people and working at some of the biggest events in Sydney then I recommend national work force.
