The company's propensity to hire contractors mainly creates a lot of insecurity and sweeping decisions are made which affect your job, without even considering the effects on your position. If I was to sum it up, there are many good people I worked with but the managements attitude to everything is "Its not personal, its just business". If you can live with that then go for it, but if you want to make long term plans and work at NBN forget about it, unless they offer you one of the rare permanent staff roles. You are unlikely to receive any training to help with role retention and they change consulting firms like most people change underwear so no-one is ever comfortable.

They push you to the brink of exhaustion.
There is no accountability for employee actions or rather lack of action.
Workplace culture is clicky and if you speak up about anything you are threatened with the very values they hold so dearly.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the pay.
Management all the way up to the CEO is useless and not interested in wanting to make improvements... just want to appear great to the public with fudged numbers.

Working at nbn will challenge you everyday. There is never any two days that are the same. The company is always going through change and you have to be flexible to adapt to these changes. Whilst the work is challenging, it is very satisfying knowing that you are a part of a massive project to connect all Australians together. The workplace culture here is always supportive to allow you to work at your best.

Well managed working environment with flexible options. Generous pay with good e learning options.I had privilege running my medium scale project worth around $35 million. It helped me a lot to understand the requirements to run the project from start to finish involving all the required stakeholders which really set up a good platform to me run any project in future.

NBN is nice place to work, it offers work life balance. Managment is very supportive. I like the office its new and have all the equipment you need to work like standing desk, extra screen mouse and charger on the table. Which makes it easy to use. I have been hired by third party so my pay wasnt that great. But overall good place to work.

Good people, supportive managers, fair amount of autonomy but technology wise a bit lagging in terms of cool stuff. Also the comply is moving away from design to an operate model which is fine if you want to be on that side in engineering. However, if you want to play with cool stuff maybe look elsewhere.

Service Assurance was a fast-paced area to work in. A lot of passionate individuals. Yes, some leaders were not as competent as you would hope, but there were enough good eggs that ensured the company headed in the right direction with good improvements to processes and tools. 

Would recommend.

This is a bad hypocritical, double standard company. The worst experience ever in a large organisation. Unethical managers make arbitrary decisions without any safeguards for employees.

This was a great place to work with plenty of opportunities for advancement. The workspace is open and collaborative and nbn really encourages freedom of thought and innovate thinking. Great for career-driven individuals.

Good company to work for, heaps to learn in different aspect of the business and the delivery, very balanced workplace culture and teams members were very helpful and friendly. Work pace was slow and steady, not quiet my expectation (fast pace, tight deadlines)
