What is the best part of working at the company?
No transparency. Staff are treated with contempt and zero respect. Staff have no job security and their lives mean nothing to the people who run this place.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything, from talking to management to dealing with students whose right to complain is always more important than the teacher's right to a job...
I also think they film the staff secretly.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
toxic and unsupportive. a nightmare.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
come in, prep, teach, leave... Stress about not having a door card.

The red tape involved in daily tasks as a manager hindered the ability and opportunity to effect innovative ideas for improvement and innovation. While the monetary benefits were average, there was a severe lack of professional development opportunities for staff (at all levels) and exceptionally high expectations of senior management through unrealistic KPIs. This, in addition to inexperienced area managers, is a possible contribution to Navitas English losing its government contract to deliver the Adult Migrant English programs in 2017.

Getting there during peak hours.

Very friendly, understanding team who always supports

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Preparing engaging lessons, modelling, scaffolding , taking students’ questions, listening to students’ stories, showing empathy,  classroom management, have a bit fun, administering assessments …etc.

One of the most inclusive and supportive teams I've been a part of in any workplace. Until the horrible overall experience of lockdown, students consistently reported feeling heard, engaged and positive while on campus. The chance and need for professional development were taken seriously with both formal and informal opportunities, and a massively invested team of head teachers and DOS.

The working hours differ each day have learned a lot of new thing about the refugees  and how to make the new life easy for them. Very good management. Nice friendly culture. The hardest part is to deal with a large number of adults and children in the same time. The most enjoyable part is when the refugees start to understand the Australian community and become independents.

Lessons from 8 until 12.30 then admin until 3

I worked at Navitas only for a short time from March to June 2017. My schedule was quite flexible and I could choose what day and time I wanted to teach. The manager was friendly and supportive. What I enjoyed most was the students who were highly motivated and committed to learning, a source of motivation that you will need as a teacher.

Great place to work, but each centre runs according to the centre managers. 
Many centers have a wonderful management style and peers are usually very helpful to newcomers.  
Supportive environment to work in

Clean classroom tables, help adim with any work that might need to be done eg Computer data 
I have learnt to take enishitive whilst working as well as improving on my communication skills

It was a good job and the work was helping the clients to understand what they hear in class. Translate to them what the teacher's say. Be the Liason between them and the teachers.
