My philosophy is one of, The view is always changing and the view is from my windscreen. I enjoy this facet of being a driver.
Driving is driving but with an ever changing view its very enjoyable.

I have learnt to deal with many and varied situations associated with peoples from foreign lands often with limited English skills. This has been both challenging and rewarding at the same time.

My days can vary from a simple hotel-airport transfer. To being required complete secrecy regarding destination for foreign diplomats and police escort green light corridor movements. Also accommodating the strange and often bazar requirements from high profile entertainers. However its all in a days work.

Often multi coach movements are needed this requires a great deal of co ordination and a team effort is paramount.

At the end of a shift there is the arduous task of cleaning the vehicle both inside and out  This includes manually washing, vacuuming, windows, toilet refresh and refuelling. Taking over 90 minutes its probably the least enjoyable aspect of the days work. Especially after a 15 hour day.

Fortunately we often go to many interesting locations often invited to participate in the passengers activities or schedule for the day.

5 stars for work culture and mostly surrounded with friendly people. 

 3 stars for salary as fair for graduates, but unfair for experienced ones. As all new staffs are graded from level 1, regardless of their qualifications, unfair. 

It provides employer the chance to exploit labour with unlawful contracts or terms, within 6 months probation and then start over again. Not suggested ! 

2.5 Stars for work environment, not a proper office, and shifts time can start from early morning, overnight, weekends and public holidays, lack work-life balance. 

2 stars for junior to middle levels management. Company is lack of proper training system except  the 1st a few days abd has strong personal preference.

0-1 star of training culture, it is toxic to have newbie get trained and learnt from others pointing the mistakes instead of using proper guidance and training plans.  Newbie need to have strong confidence level to survive, as older staff superior to it by making you feel bad, it negatively  impact on staff psychological health, and needs to be addressed. 

Murray’s Eagle Farm was a good place to work and your fellow drivers are by and large a good team. The work is interesting and the places you go and the people you meet adds to the daily excitement.
The down side is the driver management team. They send out mixed messages and are not keen on any push back on your black and white driving assessments. They have an antiquated work flow process which took me back to the 80’s.
If you are prepared to cop the occasional unfair critique of your performance and can operate in a constantly changing set of rules then you will enjoy Murray’s.

I wouldn’t recommend these pack of a holes to any even if was last job in Canberra they what you work 50 to 60 hours a week than They want you do over time my shif  would start at 400 am for two or three days then they would give before your weekends A late shif which star at1 pm and finished at 200am. ThenYou  Get home Then 24hours Off than back  at work at 300am to start next week  so does that answer your question.

Obtain paperwork, ensure you know routes, be pleasant to customers. Do job efficiently/effectively. Team environment. Face to face with customers. Work solo and with co-workers. Ensuring vehicles are clean at the start/finish each day. Segregation between Drivers and Management/office staff. I enjoyed being away from the depots.

The job was pretty flexible, you just put in the days you can not work or if you want lots of hours you can have that too. 

I have issues with sleep so the irregular hours got to me but for most people it would be fine.

i got to meet and take around some famous people which was really cool.

Ops manager and driver manager at loggerheads did not know how to work together, management not interested in obtaining truth on issues presented by members of public, more interested in corporate position than looking after drivers
Overall poor company to work for, May improve if management listen to drivers

I liked the type of work meeting a wide variety of people. Fellow employees and management made it an enjoyable place to work in, I felt valued. The down side was I worked many hours a week, and it was shift work, so work and family life clashed. However it is possible to pick days I wanted to work and choose charter work. 

Its great working environment with support and benefits Lot of flexibility and life balance.
It also look after people and all employees.Its offer reasonable salary.

Long hours on the road and sometimes you feel like you are not appricated,until you get back to base and to your family.it is a really good place to work .
