A typical day would include face to face customer service as well as answering phone to customers and other company stores. Unpacking and processing incoming stock as well as packing outgoing stock onto pallets. Merchandising "hot selling lines of stock" as well as other stock, to make the stock presentable to customers. Chasing daily budgets and cash handling as well as end of day tilling off. Liasing with product suppliers, stock ordering and testing products for product knowledge.
I learnt a large number of skills such as merchandising and customer service, but not limited to and lots of hands on work such as assembling and dismantling shelving and bike and scooter building, plus many many more.
Most co-workers were extremely pleasent to work with and I was very well liked within the company.
Hardest part of the job was dealing with disgruntled customers and working without air conditioning in summer.
Most enjoyable part of my job was seeing how happy the kids were getting the toys they wanted as well as achieving goals for the company CEO and seeing his happy reaction.

The upper management did anything and everything they could to scam their employees out of benefits and money. They made us start 20 minutes before we were supposed to start and made us stay back close to half an hour after we finished. There was no proper health and safety. We worked over time all the time and were never compensated. The requirements of the role were above and beyond what we were paid to do. They took advantage of our trust and love of what we do. They have now put in a new contract and have made nearly all their employees take severe pay cuts. How this isn’t on the news is beyond me. Avoid them at all costs. They are criminals!!!!

Great place to work, you learn so much you do alot of hard work but it was always great fun. Getting new stock in and marking it was always good and putting it out on the shelves was always a big tasks but it was exciting because you were always doing something new and in the end you created a whole new section and its a great accomplishment in the end. The staff were amazing to work with.

working at mr toys was a fun and very rewarding experience my co workers were nice and funny and very helpful when i needed assistance with anything, hardest part of my job was id say the long hours after awhile you get tired but its worth it at the end of the day. i

It was an enjoyable comfortable workplace. Everyday we would have a plan set for the day and get through the work. I learnt valuable skills such as communication, presentation and problem solving skills. The hardest part was trying to keep the store clean and the most rewarding part was making the customers happy.

The Slogan or Mr Toys is "it's always Christmas Day at Mr Toys" but it should really be "it's not what you know, it's who you know". 
All sta are over-worked, underpaid and under-valued. The favouritism within this company is beyond a joke.

One of the best places to have a first job. All managers and staff acted like best friends and made the environment very fun and exciting. Everyone was very supportive and willing to help each other out.

Upper management has little care for the staff. Over worked, under paid, under staffed and left to rot. Working at this company literally makes me want to kipl myself

I would not recommend working for this company.
You are not treated well and not paid correctly.
Management dont act like Management, well let's be honest, what management??



I had fun at tadpoles and I would try and get paid at tadpoles next time I go there. but I had fun and an amazing time there and would love to work at tadpoles.
