The actual work itself was hugely rewarding, however management made it impossible in the end to look forward to going to work each day. Management have a huge problem with communication and accepting that decisions they make impact the quality of care provided to clients and, the mental health of their staff. Feedback is a term frequently bantered around; however don't fall into the trap of providing it. The more passionate you are about your job and, the more you speak up for yourself and your clients, the more vindictive management becomes toward you. A consistent punishment for those who fall foul of management is to have your hours cut. The playing field is not even. The more mediocre you do your job; the better management will view you. It seems that they believe they are a law unto themselves. State and Federal Legislation's have been broken. Policies and procedures seem to only apply to employees at the bottom of the ladder. The hypocrisy from middle and senior management became too hard to cope with.  There is no resolution to all any problem, management turn it back on the staff and their standard solution is to offer the EAP. Management are great at big noting themselves and can talk the talk, but they most definitely can't walk the walk. Governments need to look long and hard at these so called not for profit organisations. They are anything but not for profit; all they care about is their bottom line. A session in front of the Royal Commission into Disability services by Mosaic would be a show I would buy tickets to see

Under the management of Pippa Cebis, the culture is relaxed yet with performance expectations. Negative behaviours are not tolerated, which is a good thing and positive behaviours are rewarded. 

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the job is knowing that you are putting back into the community and making a difference in the disability community. 

The most difficult aspect is resourcing - there is simply never enough hours in the day to achieve all that could be done. But that is to be expected in many roles, perhaps just a little more frustrating because the benefits of getting things done makes a difference in other peoples' lives.

The executive team is open and friendly and do their best to make people feel at ease and perform to their highest standards.

A lot is being done to listen to employees and improve all the time, so it pays to be patient and contribute positively.

Corporate office is a lovely place to work. The houses are staffed with passionate, caring people.

There were many benefits of working for Mosaic. The thing I liked the most, was, they were very good to their clients and did everything they could to supply all their needs. Lovely healing conducive homes with lovely decor, clean and very high standard of hygiene. The most enjoyable part of my job, was spending time talking with my clients and building the trust and rapport with each of them. I did not find any of my role difficult or hard, loved every moment. Working with other carers and being team players was very important. I would ensure that all my duties were done by the end of my shift and never left any extra work for my handover colleagues. We built a lot of respect for each other and they would in turn, manage their day, in the same way.

Sad place to work with incompetent blaming middle management, no care for their staff nor their clients but their own looks and clients funding. I would not recommend my loved one to this place. All looks good on the surface but internally it is a mess. CEO unhelpful when mediation is required and believes the incompetent middle management over any other staff. Friend politics environment. At first they invite you to have a say, but really they do not want to hear it. Confusing and sad experience. Feel especially sad for the clients to have way to high staff turn-overs. If you are the kind who shuts up and just do your job, you will like it here....

I have been working with Mosaic for the last two years. Mosaic has a diverse yet inclusive work environment. I love that the company is well structured and systems that work have been put in place. When I first started, I was just a casual employee but I got access to their spectacular salary sacrifice option which isn’t common with other providers for their casual employees. I’m happy and would love to remain with Mosaic as I feel appreciated, valued and listened to.

Throughout my all employment with Mosaic, I always had wonderful experience, there was variety and it was extremely busy and rewarding at the same time.

They provides best accommodation & lifestyle to people with special needs. Person centred approach was always being promoted & best culture in workplace where I worked.
Management looked after for ongoing trainings and recognition to advancement, although there are still certain areas they need to look into.

I love working with Mosiac, I have had the opportunity to utilise my skills. Assist training area managers to deliver training t new employees.

Developed a robust training program for the organisation, which has been taken on board by staff with exceptional outcomes in compliance.
 The  hardest part about my role is that I am only on contract for 12 months, and so not able to really fit into the organisation as much as I would like

The culture at Mosaic is very inclusive. Everyone knows the positives Mosaic's staff bring to the clients. 

Management have a strong focus on internal communications, this keeps staff aware of changes and events at the company that effect our working day. There is even more work being done on growing the connections among staff across the whole company which will bring the positive culture to everyone.

Work is very professional and the clients all seem happy.

At first things seemed OK, then the cracks began to appear!
Toxic support staff. Useless incompetent coordinators. Absolutely USELESS rostering staff who stuff up your rosters and shifts with NO communication of changes.
In fact communication and lack of understanding and compassion are mosaocs greatest faults! I thought ny last company was bad, this is by far the most unprofessional company ever.

The place appears to be going in a downward spiral due to the faceless executive management team which in most cases seems to be run by 2 conceited individuals. Total disregard for their support staff with lack of or little ongoing essential training resulting in a high turnover of employees; not being prepared to hear and accept constructive criticism; continual and confusing change of direction and complete ignorance of how each individual group home functions.
