I personally love working at MDCA. They have been nothing but accommodating to me and my personal life (as well as that of my coworkers), and they really do try to find a good balance between running a successful company and ensuring their workers are happy. I have never felt such support from a job before, where the benefit I bring/have brought to the company is acknowledged and I am repaid with flexibility and understanding when it comes to non-work. While I am used to a higher salary for similar work, I have never once regretted accepting my position here and I know that with my hectic life it would be borderline impossible to find another job as wonderfully flexible, that also pays more. As such, pay is not a huge issue. 

The long hours are hard, but easy to get used to. Although the job can get hectic, the atmosphere is relaxed and not policed. You are trusted to do your job, and given opportunities to prove yourself.

They clearly select for good personalities in their workers, as everyone gets along famously - I have never experienced this in a job, where there were always at least a few people who made teamwork difficult. Everyone supports and helps each other out, and works together seamlessly as a team. It really makes all the difference!

There are of course negatives to working in a small company - if even one person is missing, you can really feel it in the workload - just as there are negatives to working in a large company. However, I feel like the negatives are somewhat unavoidable regardless, and far outweighed by the positives. I do feel personally valued here, and not just another name on a list of workers.

Things to take into consideration if you are a nurse: 

- You may not complete your studies or even begin studying to become fully qualified after working 1 year +.  
- You are driving everyday so car accidents are bound to happen including damages to vehicle = $$$ out of pocket. 
- You need to Push/Lift expensive equipment (30kg or so) on your own room to room. If you're a dentist get ready for back pain. 
- You don't know when you finish working. You finish when you see everyone on your list. 
- This job was very emotionally distressing for me, the way management handles situations such as delayed flights, overtime, accident response, sick leave, grief and loss lacks feeling. It is a very systematic culture. 
- The best part of the job and the reason why I stayed for as long as I did was the nurses and dentists that I met on the job. We all started from knowing nothing to helping each other grow and learn. They really made every day worth it.

The management has unrealistic expectations on both dentists and DAs. Driving the van (even past Geelong and Mornington) and lifting the heavy equipment takes a toll when done 5/week. They don't include your name on the car insurance, which means you pay out of pocket for any accidents!

Recent changes are causing many dentists and DAs to leave their jobs. Changes to pay and other policies without consent is one reason. Unpredictable hours - sometimes finish at 7pm. They don't pay for overtime, but add the over time hours to your annual leave. 

Clinical director is rude and swears in front of staff. Many have been in tears. Generally, there is an aura of mistrust. There is no motivation to come in the mornings. 

I would give negative stars if possible.

I work as a patient coordinator and my duties involve, arranging dental appointments for patients at aged care facilities & schools, data entry, claiming, etc. 

I have learned a lot about the dentistry industry & terminology.

The management team is very supportive and approachable and are a big part of why this company is great to work for!

The workplace culture is fantastic. Everyone is so great to work with and friendly.

The hardest part of the job is sometimes the long hours, however getting a 3 day weekend is a big plus!!

The most enjoyable part of this job is being surrounded by such a fun, friendly team!

At MDCA, no day is ever the same! Everyday there are different challenges and tasks to complete which makes this job very rewarding and never boring! Great team environment and communication throughout every department. Very friendly team members.

It is a pleasure working at MDCA. My coworkers are super nice and supportive. We celebrate everyone's Birthday here and we play games. I work 4 days a week which is great! This is a great place for someone who is eager to learn new stuff. Not one day is the same at MDCA and you would love it here.

A typical work day as a patient coordinator - 
Arranging dental appointments, sending invoices and dental reports.

The most enjoyable part of the job is working with such lovely people. 
I have never experience a job where everyone gets along so well! 

As a patient coordinator you do work long hours but you only have to work four days a week and get a 3 day weekend!!

MDCA provides a great team culture that enables each department and member to thrive. It is a pleasure to work for a company committed to growing and improving every year.  Senior Management is approachable and very supportive.

Amazing place to work, people are fun and you get to travel around and see most of Victoria. Dont think any other dental job would offer this. Added advantage is you get to help the Aged as well.


Since commencing at MDCA in February 2023, i have been welcomed with open arms.
The guidance and training have been great!!!  but mostly, the culture and team environment is amazing!!!
