Typical work day:
Work was mostly alright, coworkers and supervisors are great.

Management:
I have learned that even if your site does excellent, upper and middle management doesn't care. They will implement their next new buzzword with no understanding of the repercussions as they have no experience of the work needing to be done.

Workplace Culture:
Get the work done, do it well and there's nothing to stress about. How I like it.

Hardest part of the job:
Work there for more than 2 years with great audits, and not a peep of complaint or bad feedback for our customer. Even when I was on my own on the site doing 3 peoples' work, to find it meant nothing.

The most enjoyable part of the job:
Being made redundant while they hired for untenable schedules, going to take a break and take on the new generational thinking cap of: Why be a good worker when it doesn't matter if you are or not.

In terms of tasks you have to complete, it's not a bad job. The problem is just the culture and the school management (I work at North Inch Community Campus) The school managers do nothing but complain and complain like whiny little 5 year olds! We cleaners work our absolute rear ends off and they just never appreciate the work we do! You can do a hundred things right and one thing wrong and they'll say we are not good at our jobs, which in turn leads to the supervisor telling us we're not that good. Well how about they come down and do our jobs for us and see if they can do any better! Bet you anything they can't! It's really unfortunate. These poor people don't realize how lucky they are to have us.

Run away, from Mitie. it’s toxic and in the end you will be disappointed. Not a professional working environment. They use staff and abuse them to squeeze their money and benefits while they are working without being paid properly for their work. Most people don’t have an idea how this company runs a business in the hospital with such a terrible management system and culture. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are very much a company full of sentimental people who don’t have any moral or professionalism. The heart of what they do it’s in sentimental and favouritism. 

I was responsible for the first floor being safe and secure,
Disposing of any discarded implements,
Reporting any narcotics and handing them over too a security member of staff,
Glass and windows cleaned and smudge free,
Hoovering and making sure all floors were clean and tidy,
Paperwork that had fell on the floor was reliably put back in place.
Toilet cleaning duties, working with bleach and other chemicals,
Also spent time with the buffing machine making sure the main floor was presentable and clean. Reason for leaving was child care costs.

I worked for Mitie transport and the job itself wasnt so bad as the team made it interesting however I felt like my progress up the ranks was extremely slow even though everyone around knew I was the perfect candidate for certain position that had come up.
Also there is lack of communication between the employees and management often leading to poor results in the assigned tasks

At first I enjoy it then as the months went by I started to hate it. The supervisor accusing me of drinking alcohol on the job when actually it was the supervisor drinking alcohol on the job. They don`t treat thier staff right.
Would I recommend people to work MOST DEFINITELY NOT They are the worst company to work for.

Wouldn’t work for them again planners miss calls for more than a week then pass to you on Friday afternoon it’s a 6 hour response and they expect you to go and do it even though it’s been sitting for a week they are so incompetent it beggars belief but report this to Line Manager they will stick up for planners.

i really enjoy working for mitie and being in a position to keep people safe while making it fun. its just really unfortunate that my role is not productive enough and at times can be mentally draining due to the long periods of having nothing to do. the management team i have are amazing and always very helpful. pay rates are good.

The worse company I have ever worked for I will never work for them ever again. They pick holes your work and the management have not got clue how treat the staff. Would I recommend to work for them NO WAY would recommend people to work for them,
