The Company has a in house training course, its a nightmare to pass and it must show skills to pass. its hard. really hard. 
Your training has a time limit and needs to be at Company standard to pass.
They are good enough to help you get through it tho.
The type of boss you get is a lucky dip as they are all franchised.
Some will respect your days off and will be calm and understanding no matter what but others could rip your ears off for low sales.

The company is to help people and with some franchisees you can make a huge difference in other peoples lives for the good. 
Sometimes it just becomes a Sales position to hit sales targets and be judged up on your selling skills.

Unless you are lucky and get employed buy a good franchisee. Avoid at all costs. Nothing but a corporate greedy company with incompetent management that will use every dirty mean trick in the book to use you up. No work life balance no reliable management, and a company that is apathetic at best and abusive of their staff at worst. You can be a model employee. As soon as you need anything from management that you are entitled to they will treat you like trash. You'd love this job if you never want free time and enjoy being abused by awful corporate management staff that wouldn't know humanity from a sack of potatoes.

Poor and abusive management; Blame of subordinates and customers, not equipment, training and poor standards; Work you to the bone with no gratitude, praise, recognition or awarding overtime when forced to complete tasks outside work hours; threatened with job security

Wouldn't work here ever again. Not even if I was desperate. Constantly being told you aren't doing your job properly if you have a bad day. Wake up and smell the roses, its retail, bad days happen.

Unless ur prepared to learn new skills this job isn’t for you 
Many different jobs all in this area of work .. new ways of thinking 

You can make a lot of money but it’s hard work 
Shoe repairs and engraving are my favourite but u must practice daily

People are fun, work is good. Dead line time reasonable,  expectations high but fair .  The environment really gives off family vibes,  as they look out for you and support you 100 percent

It's all about making the dollars and kpis . There is good work and good customers but if you don't get consistent numbers your looked down upon .poor culture 

Multi tasked; repair; reuse; recycle philosophy; amazing knowledgeable staff; clever equipment and functions; satisfying work; enjoyed the art of repair - (down side is handling a lot of shoes and money-)

Overall a great place to work!
